The Boston bomber wrote a note on the boat, saying he did it for retribution for the murders of the innocent Muslims in Iraq and Afghanistan. He even used the same terminology that the pentagon uses for the killing of the innocent victims, "collateral damage". So Tsarnaev was just Karma for Shrub's murder of a million innocent civilians.

"Terrorists, what the big army calls the little army."

There are certain folk on'Terror-why arnt we winning?' Thread who should read the above post-how the West triggers terror against its own people via its actions in the wider world.

The political section has been pretty much taken over by the right wing nut jobs. They don't give a damn about any innocents being killed, only imposing their moron ideology on the rest of the world. That's why the U.S. went into Iraq and Afghanistan with the "SHOCK AND AWE" strategy, not giving any thought to the innocents they killed. And then they pretend to be so saddened when it happens in Boston. If America ever comes out of its stooper, it will realize that the right wingers in this country are as compassionate as the nazis. Hate and war is the only thing they stand for. Hate for immigrants, blacks, gays, the elderly, children, the poor, and Muslims are evident in everything they currently have on their agenda. They totally destroyed all credibility and dignity of the United States during the Bush years. They even have the same goal as Hitler. If they can't have it their way, they'll even destroy their own country. And that's exactly what they've been doing since Obama became POTUS.

Lol,Aw come on Sig ,you've seen the links between the Wests actions & the rise of terror. Yeah their are some gung-ho right wingers but theres also a lot of rightists as pissed off at this viscious circle as the rest of us are. What always bugs me reading thru these pages is how apathetic we've all become (including me)about politics & our willingness to try to influence change.

Sure the opporsition is massively powerful but thats just how it looked to the protesters in Romania, Egypt, ect, didnt stop those guys! Call me naive but we gota have hope for a better future.

'Innocents'?? Who gives a flying fuck, If they are not American I could give a shit less and it one less group of terrorists to deal with down the road.

You will never have shit or be shit, Its obvious by your love for the HNIC and his "handouts". Just a pure POS

Oh I agree that there are plenty of us on the right fed up about it. That said, IMO, sometimes that potential "blowback" is worth it. We can't let the fear of pissing someone off keep us from doing what is right.

Right-wingers often go on and on about how much they value personal responsibility, but then they refuse to admit how driving gas-guzzling SUVs makes wars more likely and how preemptive military strikes against countries that have done nothing to us help to create more terrorists in the long run. They have a very, very selfish and narrow view of responsibility.

RJ.,...... Sunfighter.......... The Brothers Tsarnev are grievance mongers. NATO never attacked Checzenyna. If there was war in Checzenya it was from Russia. But these guys were living the good life in Boston, going to school, the gym, did they ever see any warfare?

to these Brothers war in Iraq was far away how did it affect them?

Are we giving credence to the position espoused by Tsaranev? Is it logical to bomb The Boston Marathon because of war in Afganistan? So do these guys have a point?

Just because you wish to score points against Bush/Cheney does not make The Brothers actions logical / reasonable.

We live in a world of grievance mongering and nursing of resentments.

China and Japan are a daggers drawn over a couple of rocky islets in the waters between the Nations. Who will say stop!

Every time I open a newspaper bombs are going off in Iraq, in a duel between Shia and Sunni...... is it all George Bush's fault?

Hippies need to say No! to grievance mongering. No to nursing resentments; there is no legitimate reason to settle scores with bombs against civilians

Thank you. That really needed to be said. The actions these brothers took were reprehensible and indefensible. Anything our government did does not justify putting a bomb down next to a young boy at a sporting event. Those brothers are not are not victims to be pitied and we shouldn't spend a moment trying to understand why they did it, because that's completely irrelevant. They are vicious, evil thugs who murdered innocent men, women and children.

Totally agree with Piney & Victoria1987 but I'd say we do need to understand their motives for their actions-its not to give those crimes any moral validity or credence at all,we have to condemn all actions against innocents entirely. It is our duty to the victims to understand 'why', so as to prevent more of the same.

Like it or not, there is a link between western foriegn policies in the middle east & asia & the actions of some groups against us. A lot of bad stuff has been done in our name making us legitimate targets too,as crazy as that seems. I'd say we've gota take some responsibility too.

So, should we say terrorism is a Left wing response to an action by the Right wing?

No. For me, saying that Terrorism is either Left or Right is to give it political credence. Terrorism, the Killing of innocents for whatever cause, is wrong & is evil. If terror has any political position at all then it may be akin to fascism. I would say that Terrorism is Democracys opporsite.

Thats not to say that we should not try to understand its causes.

Being from Chechnya is irrelevant. The relevant point I was making was that they did what they did, as retribution for the murders of a million innocent civilians in the Iraq/Afghan wars. It's no different than Shrub attacking Afghanistan because because of the people killed on 9/11. The innocent people killed in Afghanistan had nothing to do with what Bin Laden did. Innocent people being killed is wrong, no matter if they are in Afghanistan, Iraq or Boston. And there you have that's what brings Karma. What goes around, comes around. You reap what you sow.

And for some, their religion is more relevant than living the "good life" in America. Just like Shrub, the Tsarnaev brothers cared about their people (Muslims), but not the Bostonians. Well actually, I don't think Shrub cared about those killed on 9/11, he cared about profits for Haliburton and the other military contractors. Those are his people.

Funny how you don't get that the million innocent civilians killed in the Iraq/Afghan wars is just as "reprehensible". Until you get that, Karma will continue.

The funny part is how you think that I don't have any problem with that. I just didn't say anything about it because it's not the topic at hand. Stop assuming the worst things about the other side of the argument. You'll come across a lot better once you do.
