I don't have my dreads yet. But I'm getting them soon, I promise.
Anyway, I'm wondering if any of you have dyed or bleached your dreads before. I've thought about bleaching my dreads once I get them, but I wasn't sure if it would have any effect on how tight they were or what not. Anyone know?

IMO dreads are about letting your hair transforming naturally into its own beauty... and i personally wouldn't want to put any of those hard chemicals on it that would damage my scalp.

have you tried soaking them in lemon juice and letting them dry in the sun?

I dye my hair all the time.

If you bleach it beforehand, it'll dread up nicer.

If you do decide to dye them after you get them done, just don't use the conditioner that comes with it. Use hemp seed oil or tea tree oil, something that'll help condition your hair naturally.

And make sure to rinse it really, really good.
