DXM Trip Report (Dextromethorphan)

This was my third exploration into the world of DXM (Dextromethorphan) and was the smallest amount i have experienced with.

16:00
I first start dosing the syrup in a bottle that contained 89ml with every 5ml = 30mg of DXM. Equate Cough DM was the brand.

The taste was so vial, I wasn't sure how people used this for its intended purpose. Every molecule made me gag as I tried to shoot it as much as i could. The annoying part is how slow it is, it's not like a shot of liquor where you can just get it down.. you really have to drink it up

Usually I could finish the bottle (that being said it was a different brand) but I only managed to make it through half the bottle

I felt an almost instant effect from the first sip, very likely a placebo effect from recognizing the experience. This was a subtle sedation

Wanting to start my trip in a good manor I start by taking a shower, having coffee, and brushing my teeth to feel clean and energetic.

Music had already started to improve

17:00
I log into our hip chat to talk with the good old hip friends. At this stage I am feeling very ill, I decide to smoke a bowl of weed from my bong to combat the nausea. To no avail, i feel uncomfortably high for roughly an hour and half longer.

(I'd like to note I know what I'm doing with DXM, the only active ingredient was Dextromethorphan, nothing else)

I finally start to settle down and the sickness lifts from my body. At this stage I start to feel lighter in weight, and hallow. I also start to feel very goofy. The euphoria began to kick in at this stage all the way to the end

Music started to feel incredible and I felt that i could pick up on smaller details I would otherwise miss. This lead me to start playing my own songs on guitar.

It was funny to see how dazed I was, basically just day dreaming for 10mins while staring into space! I enjoyed the sensation of my mind sort of being dulled down and relaxed. As most psychedelics the increase in the thought process occurs leading to a noisy headspace. This was very clear, almost an absent head space.

I could still think what I wanted to, in fact I thought that it would be beneficial to do something productive, so picking the guitar back up I record a track (this link is actually the first version, and I re-recorded it on a new software update and am currently tweaking with it)

I start to feel a bit tired and decide to log off the computer to lay down. I wanted to experience some CEV while i put some music back on. I believe the weed may have made this experience faddy since I know i saw images, but fail to recall them)

I then feel very awake and watch some netflix as my body feels so relaxed I imagine this to be what heaven would feel like. The visual effects on DXM are funny, because instead of being stimulated, your vision actually becomes "worse". You blur patterns and have a harder recognition, this almost makes the world foreign.

All anxiety and worries are now absent from my being. At this point I saw the allure to the dissociative experience. Even as I write this the following day, the after glow is pleasant as opposed to ill or like a crash.

I was on hip chat for quite awhile, but from this point on I leave to relax. I almost felt like I could dream with eyes open the way I would slip in and out of time. This was an overall very pleasant experience. I much prefer this mid-range dose to that of the strong one

I would smoke marijuana time to time to almost kick the sedation back in, I think this was a good way to work on the come down, might suggest being only on DXM for the come up and plateau

I'll give your some tips...have a tasty chaser ready. DONT drink directly from the cough syrup bottle. Pour it into a regular cup, hold your nose closed some never smell it and chignit down as quick as you can (big cup if it's multiple bottles you gotta drink uke. Then drink the chaser, go rinse ur mouth, brush ur teeth and tongue and drink another chaser...repeat if necessary. Then try not to puke lol

If you like DXM, you'll love MXE...and 3-Meo-PCP is a blasty blast...so much like dust I love dat shit (I like PCP)

I remember one nite when I lived in Baltimore I took 1400mg DXM and thought the extraction failed so I got on a bus to go get more cough syrup and it was so foggy that night all I could see was white so I missed my stop (it kicked in on the bus) and got off in one of the worst slums in that shitty little city (somewhere around Prestman/Calhoun St.) and was walking around at like 2 in the morning had a smart phone with GPS but I was so high that shit was useless lol.

And niggas was scared of me for real lol cuz I looked that fucked up and I'm a scrawny ass white boy lol...never did make it to the 24hr CVS i was tryin to go to cuz I didn't need anymore drugs at that point I just needed to get home but people were trying to sell me drugs on the street(as if I really needed any more drugs lol)

 

The nausea found with Dxm is not as prevalent with other disassociatives which is one reason why I tend to favor other chems. Most of your trip report sounds quality though and it's good to know that you can maintain your motor control on DXM, I might revisit it sometime.

 

Motor control is DEFINITELY affected at higher doses, not at much on this trip

That was a fun story to read Acek, Yea, that's what can be funny with this stuff, is how long it can take to kick in. Do you know if you delsyum? That's the brand I normally use, and that one feels like you're on nothing and then suddenly hours later. bam and it keeps getting stronger.

I liked this experience for the reason that it was less intense, but very great level of high

 

Delsym takes a long time to kick in but when it does it Kicks in hard and lasts a really long time. It's also expensive as shit, even the generic is like 20bucks where I live for the big bottle of delsym but the other cough medicine is like $7 sometimes they have buy one get one free waiting on line and checking out with 4 bottles of cough syrup sometimes gets strange looks they know what's up with that shit.

 

lol yea, I just ordered a bunch of gel caps of robotussin DXM online, got 4 bottles of 20 for $17. No people involved

 

Use products with ONLY dxm as the active ingredient. Its a fantastic high. But be safe for fucks sake. No one needs to die over something as stupid as drugs.

Just don't be a fuckin idiot.

Or use whatever you want and suffer the consequences. You wanna act like a young little shit and use the wrong drugs, enjoy the result.

 

There is a difference between downing cough syrup and finding a correct brand with the only active ingredient being dextromethorphan

Many of the ingredients companies have been adding are what's dangerous to the body and mind

• Guaifenesin
• Pseudoepherdrine HCL
• Acetaminophen

Dxm in moderate to light uses, however, show no signs of damage to the user. The cough syrup however is hard on the liver.

The drug is fatal when combined with those other active ingredients.
