DXM Extraction

anyone, have an easy way to extract relatively pure DXM from cough syrups, gel caps, etc.? particularly lookin for a powder extraction but any forms are appreciated
i've read a few tht say you need NaOH (lye) and im lookin for a way tht uses a chemical easier to get...and no, Red Devil Lye doesnt even contain lye, i kno im gonna get tht response

 

Dude what are you talking about Red devil lye is lye. Go buy it at your local grocerie store.

 

ahah hes right they sell it at stores that carry stuff for plumbing

 

go to thirdplatuoe.com... spelled something like that.. i gots a load of dxm info.. those guys are crazy bout dxm.. they have pretty simple method (never done ti, just read it) basically involving cough pills, water, and a microwave

 

doesnt DXM oxidize into DXO like, a day after it is extracted?

 

walk up to the bottle of Red Devil lye and read the bottle, it says "Does not contain lye" the powder kind might be lye but not the liquid kind, atleast none tht i can find

 

Look for hte one that says "100% lye" or order it off the internet.
