Well I live in Amsterdam, home of the weed and hash. And theres some cheap hash around, (between 3 and 5 euro's a gram) and its hard as fuck, doesn't get you véry stoned (it does eventually though), but tastes much like normal hash for the rest. I've smoked soapbar in england, which is very similair except for the taste being worse. Also I had strange tasting weakish black hash that would get a flame on it from burning it not even thát long under the same name. I think I should stop visiting that coffeeshop? (means I can't afford my smoking anymore, though)
Minors aren't supposed to visit coffeeshops but many don't pay attention they're about selling their stuff. And I'm starting to think that the hash I get really IS mixed.
at first it seems like smoking higher quality (and more expensive) gear is less affordable than smoking normal or low quality stuff, but if you get a good deal you get WAY more bang for your buck and you need to smoke a lot less to get the same results. of course if you smoke lousy stuff all the time but smoke a lot, you'll need to revamp your smoking habits a bit and get used to smoking only two or three times a day and in smaller amounts. keeping your tolerance low while smoking better quality will actually help REDUCE the cost of your habit. if you're used to low quality products, buying good weed or hash will be more of an initial expense, but it will make up for it when you can get pretty stoned off of only two or three hits. i'd also suggest buying a cheap pipe with a screen or something similar and only smoking it straight instead of with tobacco if you normally mix it. you need less with a pipe than a joint, and when you smoke it straight you can take smaller hits and hold them for a long time to get the most out of your investment. if you hold tobacco smoke too long you may well end up dizzy or sick feeling, particularly if you dont smoke tobacco regularly. just my opinion, mostly.
i can buy an eighth of average grade pot for 25USD or an eighth of really good pot for 50USD. if i buy the average pot, i'll smoke it in 4-6 days. if i buy the good pot it can take me 10-14 days. for twice the amount of money its usually likely that i'll end up with a little more than twice the amount of smoking. now BAD weed would cost me about 20USD for an eighth, and only last me about 2-3 days. the math doesnt always add up concerning cost/benefit. it depends on what you can get, how much it costs, and what you get out of it. compared to the US, good pot in the netherlands is cheap. i'm sure if you look around you'll have no problem finding some affordable decent quality stuff. hash is good, but if you want to make sure you're getting what you pay for i'd suggest going for herb, because you can tell its unadulterated and not cut to make it weigh more. also only go to coffeeshops with reputations for having good pot at a reasonable price. the hippy.com/hipforums.com community also has a "hip travel guide" available online. of course amsterdam is among the most popular sections. in the amsterdam section is offered a list of coffeeshops that have been reviewed in terms of quality and value and other aspects. perhaps it will help you find a better shop to get your smokes from! http://www.hiptravelguide.com/amsterdam/php/coffeeshoplist.php
Good weed and hash is affordable. Good/Normal hash costs 2 times as much as the shit I'm smoking now and I smoke this stuff I have no more then 2 or 3 joints a day I only smoke 2 or 3 days a week. I smoke 5 grams in 3 weeks this way. So i guess smoking better stuff is just costing more for me :\ But I really dislike the idea of them putting animal shit in it with this birdflu stuff.

good shit here usually costs at least twice or 3 times the amount of bog standard hash we normally get. but the shit is usually at least 5 times stronger so i need much less ( i end up smokin 1 skinners an l's lol) so i end up havin more THC for my moneys worth.... however sumtimes i end up smokin a shit load in one joint gettin high as fuck then the next day goin..aww man werd all my weed go lol theres gotta b a balance
I only smoke good hash now, found a better coffeeshop, they're hash is so twistable, and soft, and it tastes pure, everyone who had it thinks its 100% clean. It probably is. Hmm it gives the nicest high too and its stronger then most weed its hmmmmm *happy with hash*
Put a piece on a needle. light it. move bic awway. See the asht hat results the whiter the ash, the better the hash.
On my last visit to the 'Dam I tried some 'Borderhash' it was f****in' sensational, something like the resins we used to get back in the late'70's early '80's and the price was very reasonable.
