Love it. Dubstep is dirtier than fingering your sister and finding your dads wedding ring up there. Apparently.

Hate is not nearly strong enough of a word for my degree of animosity towards dubstep.

Dubstep is the lamest form of electronic dance music ever created. The fact that it's fan base is mostly composed of DXM sipping Jersey Shore wannabe's speaks for itself.

Hate it. Music created to sponge more money from chavs and... guidos I think you call them? Jersey Shore types? It's really starting to piss me off the way it's permeating itself into pop culture, a lot of the pop songs and adverts have dubstep feel to them. The music has NO meaning, no feeling behind its production or content. Just a bunch of noises that some very strange people think sound cool. It is a genre created for a bunch of ignoramuses to remain that way and dance instead of learn. It's music for dummies, basically.

Correct me if I'm wrong but before this wib wob bassline bollucks came out, dubstep was something completely different? Like dub but basically just electronic.

I don't get why you people are hating on dubstep, saying its just noise and has no meaning... well, music is entertainment, not a history lesson... if people find dubstep entertaining, then it has fulfilled its purpose! now i'm not saying all you should listen to is dupstep... listening to some good quality meaningful lyrics once in a while wouldn't hurt, personally... i enjoy all music

    Tin soldiers and Nixon's coming,
    We're finally on our own.
This summer I hear the drumming,
    Four dead in Ohio.

    Gotta get down to it
    Soldiers are gunning us down
Should have been done long ago.
    What if you knew her
And found her dead on the ground
How can you run when you know?

La la la la la la la la
La la la la la la la
La la la la la la la la
La la la la la la la.

    Gotta get down to it
    Soldiers are gunning us down

*As far as dubstep goes the vast majority of it is terrible, and it's not worth my time to sift through the heaping piles of crap to find the few gems, it's been absolutely terrible live each time i've seen it spun. Most people who hype it up to me are nowhere near the dancefloor by the end of the set, I only hate it because it's played alongside other forms of 4/4 dance music and it deserves to be played at hip-hop clubs or something. Drum n bass is about the only other style of electronic music it can go along with but I'd prefer just an all drum n bass evening.

A lot of music today is so easy to make, that there's a TON of paint-by-numbers garbage being made in the suburban bedrooms of a million 'ticky tacky' houses.

In general, Dubstep is neither good nor bad.
Like every other music form, there's good and bad in it.
