hm maybe stuff it in a paper bag and set it in a dry warm place for a couple days?

Step 1. Don't keep it sealed up!!! For the meantime - do like Colours said. Let it air out a little.

Step 2. Go up to the Marijuana Growing main menu and pick the sub forum "Processing Marijuana". The first entry there is the "Sticky" Harvesting and Curing. Go to the start of that thread and you will find that Rangerdanger has explained every thing in great detail.

When it comes to drying marijuana, I wouldn't use a dehydrator. Dehydrators dry weed too quickly and make it taste harsh, imo.
Pot smokes cooler and tastes better if it's been slow-dried, like in a paper bag, folded at the top, kept in a room with not too much air-flo.

Ranger: the dehydrator I posted has a temp control from 85*-145* F. I dry at 85*, just about room temp........

I didn't know that 85F is "room temp."
And most dehydrators have a fan.
Ideally, your weed should take 5--10 days to dry.
If you're jones-ing for a hit you could put a nug in a dehydrator. When I want to sample a fresh harvest and can't wait I just stick a nug in a desk drawer and 24 hrs. later it's ready.
A slow dry is superior, try it and find out for yourself.

I could see where a dehydrator would be helpful in a very humid environment (to avoid mold). But the connoisseur in me still says "Let nature take it's course"!
