I read this tek on Shroomery about baking a cm of epsom salt in the oven at 400F for an hour and a half - two hours, in turn baking and evaporating the water from the salt, breaking it up (as it turns into a solid block) and using it as you would any other desiccant. My shrooms have been fan drying for 1-2 days now, ive picked them over a period of 48 hours so they're all at different rates of dryness, my question to you guys is, have any of you used this method and how efficient is it?
i used calcium chloride (i think) desiccant to dry some shrooms that weren't fresh, but didn't seem totally dry. it worked. that's what desiccant is for after all...
What im using is Magnesium Sulfate, its supposed to work very well and i just happened to have some laying around and well... why spend money on something you don't need?
you prob don't need to, what you have will prob work fine. but i didn't look it up or anything just don't let it touch the shrooms if that isn't obvious
the smaller ones are cracker dry now, im just waiting on the larger ones with thicker stems, hopefully they'll be done today!
even if theyre not completely dry, im just going to start chowing them down because theres a dubstep rave tonight that i feel my mushies will go nicely with. ive never done shrooms before (hence why i started growing) so wish me good luck!
good luck. you'll need it eating mushrooms before a dubstep rave you should choose a more private, possibly nature setting for your first time trying mushrooms. it's gonna suck to find out the hard way that a dubstep rave is a horrible place to be tripping on mushrooms
I tripped balls in a packed rave in Toronto and it was awful with all the people bumping into me constantly and all the lasers and stobe lights were to much for my brain to take. It shouldn't be to bad as long as you don't alot of mushrooms. Just a few grams to heighten your senses.
Thank you Octopus, and to the others it wasnt too bad, i only took about 4 grams. there were a bunch of people i knew at this event, so i didnt really feel uncomfortable.
