ok, well im planning to dry some of my cactus and i dont really know where to start.

so i pretty much need someone to spell it out for me or forward me to a web site which has enough detail to get me buy.

are there problems with the cactus rotting?

also what amount (weight) would you get from the green flesh of a 1 foot cutting pachanoi cutting?

any help would be awesome. thanks

I would skin the cactus first. I think as long as you spread them out flat and dry them in the sun you will be fine. Mine rotted but i couldn't keep em out in the fresh air and had to hide them in a bowl in the dark. ew! I just weighed 2.5 ft worth of skins and came up with 1220 grams of fresh cactus skins. It is about 500 grams fresh cactus skins per 1 ft of pachanoi. 00.12% is mescaline weight. 500 x .0012 = .6 grams or 600mg of fresh mescaline per 1 foot.

awesome...i'll give it a try when the weather clears up abit...

i've heard alot about how to increase the alkaloid content in cactus...such as putting them in the dark for a month or 2, cutting them etc.....is there any quantitative data to support this? have you had success with this method of inducing stress?
