   It's up to the labs proceedures (in this case your folks).
   
   
   It sounds like these are instant read test, in which case your parents are probalyl tossing the samples.
   
   If this were a real lab, or if your parents wanted to, they would take any 'positive' samples and send them in for more thorough testing to ensure no false positives.
