    :ssmokeit:Drug Test Abuse...

    > The cries against witches in the Dark Ages, who were usually detected by hidden marks on their skin, could not have been very different than our modern inquisition's fetish of testing for drug "abuse" with urine and blood tests. But does urine and blood speak anymore "scientifically" than witches marks? Assuming that the tests and laboratories are accurate - several studies found that false results were common - the results only showed past exposure to a particular drug.

    > The tests failed to answer the important questions of when the exposure took place, how and why it happened, and what were the effects. The tests failed to identify the source of the drug, which might have been an over-the-counter or prescribed preparation. Because they are so ultra-sensitive, the new tests can not differentiate between morphine injected by an "addict" & the morphine absorbed from poppy-seed rolls eaten at lunch. Eating poppy-seed cakes, can keep your urine looking like a junkie's for several days. The tests read the same positive results for someone who just snorted c0caine as for someone who recently drank an unlabeled herbal tea containing fragments of coca-leaf.

    > The tests also fail to reveal the history of drug use that is so essential to a diagnosis of "abuse" and so important in formulating plans for "treatment." Most tests routinely ignored tobacco, a major health problem, and alcohol, a drug capable of seriously impairing job performance.

    > Despite these pharmacological quirks and shortcomings, the presence of an "illegal" drug in the urine marks many workers for immediate diagnosis as drug abusers and addicts. Many are compelled to undergo mandatory "treatment" or face termination of employment. In an age of technological sophistication in medical diagnosis, when no one would dare let their surgeon operate on them on the basis of a single blood or urine test. America allows her workers to be severed from their jobs, their livelihoods, and sometimes their freedom on the basis of this new epidemic; Drug Test Abuse!!!

    > Drug Test Abuse is the misinterpretation and misapplication of highly sophisticated chemical procedures. Urine tests have become so sensitive that they can detect traces of drugs that either had been used weeks earlier or stayed in the body for long periods, yet no longer influenced behavior. The tests can also detect traces in the urine of non-users. Bystanders at parties or in closed vehicles may passively inhale the smoke from marijuana that can produce detectable urinary metabolites.

    > One of the incidental results of these high-tech tests as a weapon in the war on users has been the revelation that drugs have contaminated the entire environment. In fact by 1992, chemical studies showed that over 90% of American paper currency was contaminated with traces of cocaine. The findings were not surprising. The fibers in our U.S. currency which is printed on paper containing hemp, act like a sponge, absorbing tiny particles of powders placed in contact with it. There is some evidence that merely allowing your fingers to touch you hair after handling some of the
Federal Reserve Chairman's cocaine-blighted money could make you a candidate for a positive reading in a hair-analysis drug test.

    > Many labs are analyzing hair samples for drug metabolites, because hair is constantly absorbing chemicals from the blood as it grows at the rate of about one centimeter per month, hair analysis offers the advantage of providing a longer history of drug exposure than the other tests. Yet, this test, like others only shows past exposure and is useless for detecting if someone is under-the-influence of drugs - Right Now!

    > This whole rapidly expanding, 300+ million dollar a year industry of drug-related police-state activity, simply denies a person any presumption of innocence, and as one is no longer presumed to be innocent one is, by default, guilty. It rests with the accused to prove that one is not committing a "drug crime."

    > As the third reich once strove for their idea of "racial purity" our modern day "Reichfuhrer's" strive to create a drug free - chemically pure race,
and it is assumed that urine testing functions as a good deterrent to drug use.

    > Of Course, A more enlightened person might view the drug tests as a kind of Intelligence Test, since those who are clever enough can always find ways to Beat them!

A lot of what you say is true.

And a lot is just the opposite of what the fascists say to support drug testing.

Also, the reason US money has cocaine on it is because people snort cocaine with US money.... rolled up dollar bills are frequently used to snort just about anything that can be snorted, in fact. Then, the paper touches other bills, and.... coke on everything. I bet you'd find 2ce on a percent or two of bills, too, and I promise you a percent of bills are not used to snort it. You'd find opiates an most bills. But that doesn't mean our environment is "contaminated" with heroin and coke. It just means money is fucking filthy. I'm sure it's also covered in E. coli.... but handling a dollar will not make you test positive for coke, or catch dysentery.

What a fucking lame excuse... fail for coke, tell your boss it's because you handled a dollar bill. How stupid do you think these guys are, anyways? Maybe you could just argue against drug testing and cognitive fascism on moral, logical grounds?
