I was just thinking (which I really shouldn't, as I should be doing assignments) it would be fun to drug someone with about 3 - 4 hits of LSD. Someone who has no drug history, believes in god, totaly against drugs, pro-war etc It would be a complete mind fuck for a while, but I'd love to know how the person has changed after the trip. Any records or this being done?
um that would be shitty. why would you want to make someone do something as intense as acid, when they have no clue what is happening to them? they would be lucky if they were able to keep their sanity. I mean think about it, they would have NO CLUE why everything is happening. and why would they need a belief i god, against drugs, and pro-war? are those the only people that need acid or something?
No just a select few. As for the intensity, Hoffmann had to experience it... but i suppose he came to the conclusion that it was something in the lab.
I think this would be a tremendously unethical thing to do. Reports of these sorts of potentially fatal/psychologically-damaging "pranks" give anti-drug proponents just cause to speak against decriminalization, or at least in favor of VERY strict regulation. I always wince with irritation when I hear people who are against psychoactive drug use describing users as immature, immoral, and/or not very bright. However, I wince more heavily when I witness behavior that validates the above description. Peacelove, Aldousage
maybe this person who was dosed would just think he had been taken over by god and would have a spiritual journey.
i think you should take 10 hits and think long and hard about personal freedoms and human rights taking lsd should be an individuals choice. the outcome of any trip where the tripper did not choose to dose themselves would be very bad and would only give more reason to believe that acid heads are fucked up!
on my first acid trip my buddy who had the vile of liquid sold it to 15 people including me of course. me, him, and 2 other were the only ones not bugging out. as a joke he slapped liquid on one kids kneck who was bugging out and was like "haha, i just dosed u up more" and the kid ran home with a wiffle ball bat in his hand saying "haha! yo ucan't catch me!"
How about doing the test on yourself? Give a friend a few hits and tell them to dose you sometime in the next few months when you least expect it. That might be interesting...you'd never know if that soda you were drinking might send you off in a half hour. The Chicago Seven said they were going to spike the water supply with LSD...but I think they were just joking: http://www.law.umkc.edu/faculty/projects/ftrials/Chicago7/Account.html The CIA did it in 1954: "they had participated in an experiment involving the administration of LSD on an unwitting basis to Dr. Frank Olson, who later committed suicide" http://www.druglibrary.org/schaffer/history/e1950/mkultra/Hearing05.htm So...unethical and dangerous...maybe deadly. I have to admit that a scenario crossed my mind that it would be crazy if someone gave me a bong hit of salvia and said it was really good weed (before I knew what salvia was like). It would be totally wrong, but for those 5-10 minutes I'd be sure I lost my mind...which might be somewhat interesting since I'd be fine after 5-10 minutes...it'd be evil, but a little less evil than dosing someone who doesn't do any drugs with an 8 hour LSD trip.
no one should be dosed without their prior consent. lsd is for your family and friends...loved ones. everyone deserves it..but knowingly only and of their own accord. someone could really freak out. something like that would only contribute to the bad reputation lsd already has with the larger more ignorant part of the population. i would never want that on my conscience.
john lennon's first experience with lsd was because of a prank. someone spiked his drink with it, and he had a blast. but people who are not willing to expand their mind should not do it, its like forcing a child who is afraid of roller coasters onto one, it would traumatize em. and what a waste of acid that would be.
