it's true. i neglected mine for about 2 months when i first got them. not a wise choice. it's constant constant maintenance. i've wanted to cut mine off so many times. BUT i am finally happy with them...a year later hehehe...just waiting for uber-length (they shrink and tighten within the first year).

Mine are three weeks old, and I totally love them! I also love not having to untange my hair every day after the shower, my hair was so thick and unruly. I just recently got back from student orientation at college, and so many people commented and complimented me on my dreds.

I want dreads, but if I were to have dreads I would want to grow them naturally, not use wax.

ive been growin' for 8 years. it takes about two years before they are completely matured. stick it out though. its well worth it. oh and stay away from wax kids. that shit makes your hair feel so dirty. try saltwater mixed with lemon juice to tighten em' up. lovin ya'll.

    I love my dreads.
They're still shitty white-man dreads, but they're certainly coming along nicely.

Constant maintenance? All you have to do is wash your hair when it is dirty and maybe rip apart all the ones that start to grow together.

I absolutely love dreads! I'm getting them really soon i think. The only thing is we're not allowed to have dreads in school because it's against dress code or something retarded so I'm gonna be screwed when i go back in the fall. But it's all good. They can't really do anyhting aobut it if i already have them..
