if i get dreads i want them to look like that are those.. final, just beginning, some different style, what?
when i say i want them like that and are they a different style, it's because the one's i've seen are all massive things hanging off your head that make people look like medusa
Those are young, with short hair... also he has afro hair, which is corser and frizy so it dreads in a TOTALLY different was to asian or caucasian hair. if you look at bob marleys dreads throught the ages they DO get bigger. You would have to start with shorter hair, dread them in smallISH sections. but carefull because they may end up looking like little worms hanging off your head.
You could always buy a product like hair glue that comes out little by little naturally and with shampoo. Then they would stay smaller like that because you would redo them every 1 to 3 months. It's not a long term solution...usually after 3 applications your hair needs a break or it'll get spongy.
the lady that did my dreads gave my this stuff which is bees wax mixed with petroleum jelly or something and i just wax the roots with pure bees wax
http://www.dreadheadhq.com the backcombing technique worked PERFECT. it is VERY time consuming however, but perfection takes time.
i use regular hair wax only when needed. i try not to use it too often though. it attracts bugs. i back comb and use rubber bands in some and wrapp them in hemp that helps out too. it takes time though like a few months to a year for them to look decent. mine are small because i like them that way. i am going to look like medusa for a while and that is how you start out. wear a bandana around your head if you are socially conscience about going out. that is what i do. i love wrapping my hair in bandanas! i feel rasta-like and beautiful!
Yeah they are newish dreadies. If you want smaller dreads, you just have to section them off in smaller sections. Pretty common sense, really. I've seen girls with dreads that are like...3 years old, with skinnier dreads. They'll get a little fatter, depending on the type of hair you have and how long you have 'em for. Just one thing you have to watch out for is that if you have smaller sections, then be careful that you have enough hair to hold your dread on your head, 'cause a lot of times, a skinny dread might break off if it doesn't have a well-enough support and root. But yeah, I think you'd be fine if you just take care of 'em. And no glue (ewww)!
