washing your hair in a shampoo that wont leave any residue
If you want natural dreads leave your hair alone AKA no brushing, but you need to wash your hair

If you want backcombed dreads (like mine are)
get someone to backcomb them and hand roll, dont use wax of any of the shite that says it will make dreads grow faster blaa blaa blaa cos its a waste of money
