Hey hey! Does anyone know how to make those dreadbands out of T-shirts? Or knit fabric? I think KnottyRye may have made one a little while back? Not sure, anywho, if anyone knows, please give me a hand!
    Cheers!

hey :D what i do is take a tee shirt and cut the bottom half off it. then fold it in half and sew the ends shut, and then turn it inside out so you can't see the seam. then i sew the ends together (however tight i want it to be on my head) and turn it inside out again so you can't see any seams.
that sounds complicated, but it really isn't!

I have one perfect band. I had an old long sleeved shirt (really thin, good for all seasons) and i cut holes for my thumbs to go through for those chilly winter days. Well it got pretty old and the holes got pretty big so i ended up cutting the sleeves off and there is a thin band, about an inch that goes all the way around my head. In the front around my forehead area, the material hangs down to the back of my dreads and it holds all of my hair back. It is probably the most comfortable thing I could have on my head. I have tried and tried to make another one, but it is never as comfortable.
