Hello, just heard of this stuff recently. wondering ya'lls opinion on it and if its just another scam to make money like dread wax or if it really works. I can't really imagine something called dread pepper would be able to come out of your hair..
scam... don't buy this or any other junk! your hair don't need anything to dread.. just patience! read through some of the "oops i fucked my dreads up by using....." threads here...
Never tried it, but i recon its scam. Like all the other stuff. Without ever touching it (so this is wild guessing) I can imagine that it dries out the hair. So its completley humbug and you can make something similar at 1/10 of the price at home. Ingredients,Lock Pepper: Zinc oxide, silicone dioxide, methyl salicylate, rosin, bentonite, wintergreen mint Silicone dioxide is the same as quarts (the mineral) methyl salicylate: dont know much about this but its an organic ester (a combination of an organic acid with an alcohol) and poisonous in large quantities. Its often extracted from the wintergreen plant. Rosin; is an ingredient in printing inks, photocopying and laser printing paper, varnishes, adhesives (glues), soap, paper sizing, soda, soldering fluxes, and sealing wax. (amongst others) Bentonite; is an absorbent aluminium phyllosilicate, essentially impure clay Dont think it helps locking your hair:smoking:
