ok so last friday i had a kick ass party, and some big drunk fuck starts shit, so a big fight breaks out and i end up in the middle of it and the big dude that started the whole fight ends up grabing a dread a pulled it right off my head!!! i didnt notice this till today when my mom told me she saw a dread in the driveway....and what do i find when i go out there of my dreads right there on the ground. well it was one on the side of my head kinda in the front and you cant really tell. i also got beer poured on my dreads that night.

oh well i think that i will let that spot gorw out a bit and conect it to a small dread by it(so it will have a really big root and a really small body)>>>>think that will work?

ouch! Sorry to hear about all of that...

If you let it grow out to a length that it can intertwine with a dread you could always wrap hemp around the hair and the dreadlock to make them grow into each other.

I would probably try sewing the dread that got pulled out onto a nearby dread using a needle and thread...so at least you'd still have your dread there, just not in the same exact spot. Dude, that fucking blows so much. Stupid bastard...I'm sorry to hear about that...:( I'd be majorly pissed off.

What I wanna know is didn't you FEEL the dread being ripped off? I would think that would hurt like hell! And I am suprised that a dread was that easy to rip off. But I don't have dreads, so what do I know...

my small childern tug on my dreadlocks all the time... its a weird feeling and they feel like if they pull just a little bit harder they will rip it right off. I don't know how to explain it but the feeling doesn't really hurt the same as single strands of hair for some reason. It feels much easier to rip out though. I think the pain would be shocking and not felt...So, hows your hubbys dready hawk idea coming along? :)

    yay or nay?

Haha well he keeps flip flopping between doing it and not doing it. He loves the idea of a dreaded mohawk, but he doesn't want short dreadies, and he thinks that they might be too short if he dreads them. But he can't bear to wait another year or 2 for it to grow long enough to have as long of dreads as he wants.

He's getting sick of the same ol' hawk... he is thinking about just shaving it all off, but I think I am going to dread it first before he shaves it just in case it DOES come out decently. So... I guess we will see how it turns out.

it depends on the state of the dread, some dreads end up hanging on by a few strands and others have LOADS of hair holding them on. If it was a dread that just kinda was hanging there then its pretty easy to rip off.. i know people who've found their dreads lieing around their house before apparently its a very scary sight. :)
Also i guess when your in a fight your getting hits and pulls from all angle so one pain generally doesnt recognise above another.
