Drawing Fat People

So I have this art assignment at school where we basically need to draw expressive human form. Being a fan of "bigger" guys, I'd actually really like to draw fat men for this assignment. Apart from hopefully being somewhat original (in my school), I'd enjoy it

What I need help with is how the hell to draw fat guys? I mean, I could always just draw an ouline, but I prefer drawing a human frame (with lines and circles) and building up from that. Anyone know where I could learn to draw fat guys nicely?

 

Just get a model and look at him... if you know how to start to draw the human form it shouldn't be a problem. Just use shapes. For my drawing class, we had to do a painting of this model and he had a big potbelly and I really loved it and loved drawing it!

 

Okay. So by a model you mean get a sexy fat guy to sit there naked while I draw him? That'd be great...But anyway, here's what I've done so far. It isn't much and it's pretty sketchy, but lemme know what you think. Just a note - these aren't totally original. I copied them from some random site, but I didn't trace them or anything I used the whole shapes thing and then fleshed them out from there:





They both scanned funny unfortunately The one came out totally skew so I had to do some rather obvious makeshift stuff. And both came out a fair bit darker than they are on paper. I've done a couple more, but these two are the nicest so far

P.S. Yes - I'm aware that the second dude's hand is a little dodgy. Will tidy it up later.

I also drew a really nice one of my secksy guy who very kindly posed for me, but I don't think I'll be posting it because it's very revealing. Hope you like these two though (sorry for the dodgy photos)

Oh hehe. This old thread? Glad you guys liked it. I must post up the big final artwork I did which was a huge picture of a splayed legged, sexy chubby guy
