dragonflies

so i got word that some real, or at least potent doses (ones i don't have to spend 50 bucks to trip) are around... two very reliable friends have taken one dose and tripped fairly hard. the thing is, this girl (who doesn't know much) who can get it says its not acid, and that its called dragonflies. but i said if it comes on blotter it must be acid and its probably just a dragonfly print. her boyfriend claims taht if u take 2 it lasts for 24 hrs. what do u think? bullshit? has anyone heard of dragonfly hits? is there anything else it could be?

 

Dragonfly is NOT lsd. I dunno where the fuck people are scoring dragonfly, but I want some... It's a very new hallucinogen, I believe it was discovered in the 90's. Also, I'd be careful with taking heroic (LSD-style) dosages, like ten strips and whatnot... no one knows the effects of high dosages.

It was discovered in 98 it is named Bromo-benzodifuranyl-isopropylamine and supposedly active in smaller dosages than LSD. Be careful, a girl on these forums posted that someone she knew took too much and got fucked indefinately. I wouldn't attempt taking more than one hit.

 

Bromo-dragonfly is definitely not on the street. it is also not more potent than LSD, it's active dose is around 800ugs I believe....the trip is supposed to last 75 hours. Anyway, if you're getting blotters and tripping off one than it's LSD. There is some blotter that is rumored to be RCs, but the blotter will be much thicker than usual, probably wider as well, very bitter (you would have to chase it) and you'll need to take at least 3 or 4 to get off. 5 Me0-AMT (the main RC being passed off as LSD) takes 3 hours to kick in, lasts around 16 hours and has all sorts of nasty side effects. It sounds like these dragonfly blotters are just good acid.....If I take a good dose I usually feel effects all through the next day.

 

Someone on this site could get it at one point, in blotters. This is on the streets but just about no where cept big city's. Each hit add's 12 more hours onto the trip. I was told that one of the dealers brothers took 5 hits, triping hard for 2 days and was rolling around yelling and screaming that the ant army was going to get him, then went into a coma and came out slightly retarded.

Just because they said they could get what their dealer told them they could get does not mean that is what they got. Or who knows, maybe it is what he got. Either way, this person was not ready for a two day trip... it takes a special kind of being for that trip.

 

No, impossible......bromo-dragonfly is way too new and way too rare to be on the streets, there are a few scientists/professors that are testing it....they are the only people with access to it. This info comes from someone who works with one of these scientists (this person doesn't have access to it either, it's that secure.). That person most likely had an RC that was passed off as bromo-dragonfly, possibly something of the DOxx family.

aright so i got it. here's the deal - the kid i got it from knew everything that you guys have told me about dragonfly, even teh chem. name. he claims he gets it from someone who's getting a doctorate in chemistry and makes it. It comes from a very large city (chi), and is on fairly thick blotter with serations and faces of some guy on it and its supposed to be slightly bitter. and get this, a while back we got some doses from another friend in chi, which we sold to the kid i got the drfly from. he took two of them and it lasted for a full day - the kid we got those from said he "knew a chemist" and the blotter was slightly bitter, later on we found out they were talking about the same guy. the drfly guy says that every hit adds twelve hours also, he took 2 and tripped for 24. i think it might be legit... will find out soon

its been a dream of mine to eat a two day psychedelic. some DOxx.

 

WOW... not what i expected. honestly it probably wasn't dragonfly, but who knows... maybe just an RC. i dropped it at 12 pm with a friend and went to another friends yacht club. in the hot tub, i felt a definite body buzz but it seemed to fade towards the end and no visuals. i thought it was over but then we met another friend in the woods. THere, we began to trip fairly heavy for a number of hours. My head was going nuts and i had a crazy body load but there were few visuals, just the basic patterns that would form on the ground or in the grass, cool but not very intense. we left just as it was going to storm and went to a diner where we cracked up for an hour listening to some shitty '80s pop. not much happened, but i was tripping harder and harder and every time i thought i was coming down, anohter wave would hit me, especially when smoking pot. when i finally went home i thought that i would fall asleep relatively soon after a few times through an allman brother's cd. suddenly i realized that the visuals were getting more intense and the waves of intensity were coming every few minutes. i called some other friends who i had hooked up and asked them how they were. they took it at 8 am and were STILL tripping. they told me it would be well over 5 hours before i was down. so, i went accross the street to some drunk college neighbors and played guitar on the porch, and called my other buddy who was tripping before - he of course was still awake too. then, some guy came over who happpened to be a big acid head and we had a hour discussion about philosophy and life that seriously impacted me, but thats another story. he was a "cyber shaman" of sorts, very interested in both psychs and computers. anyways, i didn't go home until 5 am and didn't sleep for another hours. i took a .25 mg xanax at the end of the night to help put me out, as i started getting those re-entry thought loops whcih made me anxious. all in all, it was aesthetically uninteresting until the end, but a good head space between full out psychedelic experience and waking conciousness which allowed for a very philosophical experience - the emotions and feelings of connnectedness with friends was intense, but the body buzz left me with a slight head and back ache. i would chalk it up to dirty acid but it lasted nearly 24 hours as i woke up still feeling quite faded. all in all it was a good experience, but next time i'll wait for something better. oh yeah, one kid took two and didn't talk for most of his trip. he's alright, but tripped awake for a day and a half.

my friends and i ate some dragonfly last night, it was fun, but i prefer lsd. Too long, we took it at 6:30 pm, and didn't really start to come down till 7 this morning. Still feel a little tripped out. It took forever to kick in too. I am selling my last two today, don't think i have the energy to do 'fly any time soon.

 

How do you know for sure that it was bromo-dragonfly that you took and not LSD?

 

i don't, but judging by the comparititve experience there is a chance it could be. lsd generally kicks in much quicker, is much cleaner, much stronger (visually and otherwise) and does not last NEARLY as long as this stuff did. also, it doesn't come in the extreme up-down waves that this shit did. for sure an RC if not actual drfly
