Dr. Bronner's is making my hair oily. It's almost like it's leaving something in there. It's not just me, my husband has been saying the same thing. It feels greasy. The citrus was the worse for this, and I got some Tea Tree yesterday and that isn't as bad, but it is still feels icky. Any solutions to this? Am I just not used to it?
i have very hard water where i live, and i have a huge problem rinsing dr b's out of my hair. i dilute it about 1 in 12, and add a splash of white wine vinegar to the final rinsing water to counter the effects of the hard water.
I have always had that same problem too. I dilute it and rinse it for like 10 minutes, but it still leaves an oiliness. I have almost given up on it....I like baking soda better now anyways. Seems to get the hair super clean.
i have had some similar problems...but maybe im just doing it wrong. anyway, how do you mix the baking soda wash?
give vinegar at a 4 parts water to 1 part vinegar (you can add a couple drops of essential oil to kill the chip shop smell) a whirl. after a couple washes you should get some improvement. I use a soap based shampoo bar, and vinegar is necessary with my water.
I just made a mixture this morning actually.....I used about 1tbs of b/s for each cup or warm water. you can use however much b/s you want, but just be sure to not use too much b/s because it can dry the scalp out. And then I added a couple drops of lemon juice and tea tree oil.
