DPT Cas number question

same compound different cas numbers

 

not the same compound. notice the first has "hydrochloride" after it? the first is DPT HCL, the second is DPT Freebase (FB)

 

probably I haven't understood how Cas numbers work.
it seems like different forms of the same substance have different cas numbers. isn't it?
or maybe DPT Hcl an DPT FB are actually different substance.

I've got to freshen up my chemistry handbook: back to high school!

DPT HCL and DPT FB *are* two seperate substances. One is a salt, the other isn't. Luckily you can use either for psychedelia. FB is better for smoking, HCL better for all other routes of administration (usually).
