every vegeitarian i have ever met has told me that they have ahd a downfall... one food that was so hard to part with they almost wrecked their new way of life... mine is ham any type of ham even today just the smell makes me want to rethink my decision... my mouth waters ... HAM... how about everyone else?
i don't really have a downfall... im in the proccess of going vegan now and am not having any real problem parting with anything. if anything, im sordove resentful having to finish the non-veg products i do have, am actually giving a lot of it away to this not so well off lady my mom works with. i read something the other day in this really cool book called "be here now" that talks about food in a section, and says if your craving and desiring something for its taste you are not listening to your real hunger and seeking fulfillment in the wrong places, and what the person inside of you really wants, it made a lot of sense to me...
No real downfall here. For a while after going veg fried chicken smelled good though....even though I wasn't really tempted to eat it. At this point all meat smells discugsting to me.
I have to be aware of the fire=food connection we have made over the centuries. now, it is meat that is smoked in public, but thesmoke smell still causes a stomach growl. ( i get potato wedges and the spiciest BBQ sauce to fix the craving)
I never missed meat when I went veggie so I never had any kind of craving. The only thing I could imagine enjoying eating would be fried fish, but it's still not something that gets me salivating or anything. I don't do the whole veggie "eeeuurrghhh, meat's disgusting" thing, because hey... nature is disgusting..... so I'm quite happy to think about meat and ponder whether any of it appeals to me, and it just doesn't, y'know?
