remember the real nickelodeon and this show? remember scooter, the weird blue honking guy that was never quite explained? remember the beats, and how smart you felt when you realized it was a beatles nod? i wish there was a beats album; i'd buy it. remember the phrases: "Ooooooeeeeeoooo/killer tofu/eeeyayi" and "Kalookookoo!" ?
it wasn't scooter his name was skeeter Valentine LOL they used to eat at The Honker Burger I loved the Beets song "I need more allowance" =) I used to love Roccos Modern Life more tho.........
Nice! Thank you Thats what I thought, my cousin and I had a long discussion of this a few months ago, and we came up with that name, but werent sure if it was correct You have helped more than you could ever know haha
Me too, I think they show Rocco and and Angry Beavers on that special cable cartoon channel, I used to have it but i havent gotten the cable hooked up at my new house yet. I wonder if Doug is on there? Probably not.
Haha, I saw someone on another forum with the handle "Durango Doug." Now THAT brought back some memories... "The abnormal is in there, and I'm going after him!" "OHHH BE CAREFUL" (from the episode with the movie that scares Doug)
"durango douuuuug/ durango doug!" i love those moments when your brutally suppressed childhood comes rushing back.
it really does!! maybe it's out on dvd/internet somewhere?? man, i would love to find all the classic nick shows... the ones i watched all the time but can't quite remember now... does anyone remember that one that was about a summer camp? and there was the delinquient redhaired guy? hmm...
doug was awesome, anyone remember roger? haha he was a kick, i felt sorry for him though, seemed so lonely. nick version was the bomb diggidy but disney was cheesey. this makes me feel like a kid again. his sister judy was cool. i liked when they went on the road trip with the family.
the one about camp was "salute your shorts" you can download most episodes somewhere online, I loved Pete & Pete the best tho..................
wow IM showing my age here........ Ive never watched doug, but I know what cartoon you are talking about though....... to me, old school nick is mid to late 80s with You cant do that on television and salute your shorts
