double yolked eggs

I know cracking an egg and it has two yolks is rare and has some kind meaning-any one remmebr what this is? I was making cookies this morning and one of the eggs had two yolks.

i'd never heard that they had a special meaning. i wonder what a triple yolker would mean?

To find out if a pregnant women will have twins, rub an egg on her belly then crack in open. If it's double-yolked, she'll have twins. If it contains blood thats a bad sign.


If you just happen to find an egg with two yolks people say it means your pregnant, or somebody you know is pregnant, or something like that. Basically, egg = fertility, so double yolk = lots of fertility.

 

You get 2 eggs for the price of one. I havnt seen one of those since I was a little fellow.

have you ever seen an egg with 5 yolks? the most i've ever seen was 3

I would just like to say that I have not found shoes yet since the yolk incident. but I did find two miniture milkyway bars in the cuboard this evening.

 

Guess that must have been it then. So it did have a meaning!

 

I started a thread on here called double yolk, when I got a box of six eggs, cracked them all into a bowl and everyone one of them had a double yolk

I like the idea of "then nothing happens." That made me laugh otu loud. It would be strange for a hen to have five twins in a row though wouldn't it? Unless maybe they were feeding that hen some of the runoff from the Simpson's nuclear power plant. YIKES!

 

Hey, it could mean another type of fertility. Like, if you have the oppurtunity to plant a garden your garden would be a success... or you might need to neuter your pets or something. Or a panda in a zoo might have decided to actually mate on the day you found your double-yolk. Or it could mean "mind fertility"...


But since you didn't know about the whole fertility thing, it probably means whatver came into your head when you saw it. Cause nature wouldn't create something like that and place it front of somebody who watched for omens if she didn't think it would communicate anything successfully. So if you thought it meant buy two pairs of shoes it means buy two pairs of shoes.

(But then I don't really know that much about omens, I'm just interested in that stuff)
