Double Dipped Tabs?

So, I'm planning on tripping for my third time this weekend with a couple friends. The guy we're likely to be picking up the acid from claims the stuff is 'double dipped'.

I'm guessing that he is either lying or was lied to, but I don't really know if this is something people actually do. My assumption is that if you're dripping solution on a sheet of blotter (or dipping it idk) then it would already be wet and saturated to the point that doing it again wouldn't do much.

I was wondering what your thoughts might be on the subject and what have your experiences been like with supposedly 'double dipped' LSD, or any other insight on the matter.

 

When some one claims the tabs they're selling are "double dipped", it really means that they're half strength.

I remember the 4-way acid that went around in the late 80's, it was a weak dose on an over sized piece of blotter paper. I got stuck with half a sheet of it.

 

Yeah, just like "double stacks".

Find someone else.

Or pay normal prices, and test it out, but chances are if he's a chump or thinks your a chump, it's weak anyway, like trick said. That kinda marketing is to sell to frat boys and other such partygoing chumps.

 

Double dipped is a urban legend thats gone around in acid circles since they began laying sheets. However that does not mean the acid dude is selling is bunk. I bought very legit sheets in highschool that were "double dipped" one hit ass kickers. Buy some, eat it and decide.

 

I've had a lot acid that got you right on one hit, but it was never sold as double dipped. All the acid I've ever bought that was claimed to be stronger than normal was weak, wether it was "double dipped" or "4-way".

 

Well so far I don't think I've had particularly strong LSD so far anyways, so I'll probably be satisfied if I take 3 tabs.

I took two tabs last time and only had what I would label as a level 2 trip on shroomery's scale. I thought it was incredible in all ways, but when I was peaking I knew I would have preferred a third tab of that stuff.

What I'm really looking for this time is an experience that gets me feeling like "this can't be possible" or, "I had no idea LSD could feel like this, this is crazy". Probably something like a high level 3 trip, or even a level 4 trip to push the envelope.

As Terence McKenna says, the right dose is when you think you've done too much. We've been pretty serious about preparation and setting and I'm in some of the best times in my life, so I think I should be able to have a profound experience with minimal risk for a bad experience.

Kind of went off on a tangent there, but that makes me think of another question. How hard do you guys usually trip on 'average' 3 tabs? 2 tabs? Thanks for your input!

 

Just don't pay extra for these, no special prices, nothing. Dude may explain that he's really hooking it up because each one is like two, so if he charges you 15 he's still saving you 5 bucks, really, or whatever. Don't believe it. A hit's a hit, only pay for a hit.

You might drop one to see how strong they really are, though, unless you get them and they're obviously the same as you've had before. It's always good to test the water temperature before you jump in. Depending on just how much money you want to spend, you could even buy your number, plus one, and if the peak on one doesn't do it for you, drop all the rest at that point.

 

Actually while he isn't trying to tell us he's making us a deal with it, it's still $15. Unfortunately the guy we were hoping to get 16 sheets for $25 a piece from hasn't been responding. Yeah, that's quite a difference. However in my area we've only been able to find em for $20 anyways which blows but I don't hear of fucking anyone doing it around here at all.

How we dont have something cheaper in the URI area is beyond me... but I'm just the guy visiting. xD

Don't pay 25 dollars for a hit. In fact, don't pay 15. Doesn't matter what area you're in, that makes it 30-60 dollars for a good trip. Tell him it's ten bucks, and he can be assured all of your purchases. Otherwise, he'll have to rip someone else off.

 

Yes I meant $25 a sheet... but as good as that sounds the guy has yet to answer.

We ended up paying $12 a hit. Unfortunately my friend didn't know anyone in the area yet since he's only been in that state for a couple weeks. We took 3 (level 3 out of 5 trip) and his roommate took 1 (first time). My buddy told me he knew places we couple go outside away from people but actually that wasn't the case. Our only way of getting dinner was actually extremely public and that wasn't giving great vibes. We were in enough control to eat our food and get out, but even though I knew everything was just fine the LSD was making the general noise of the cafeteria sound hostile in a trippy sort of way. At this point, my friend started worrying about how being seen on LSD would affect his social appearance with his new friends (even though we both understood it wouldn't) and he started having a bad trip. Coming from a modest town in Connecticut to suddenly partying and drinking almost every night at one of the most active college campuses is enough of a social shift to make one contemplate their own position and maturity without any drugs, let alone on acid.

I spent the second half of the trip trying to find ways to get him back to a good trip, but our only place of refuge was a dirty dorm room until I ended up convincing him to go to my car. It was a little better but the negative emotions wouldn't go away entirely.

For me it wasn't as positive as my last two trips, but I wouldn't go as far as to say it was enough to be considered a 'bad trip'. Either way, by the time we were coming down and ready for another alcohol induced, testosterone fueled adventure (we were at URI) we both agreed that we overcame any of the social worries of the day and came out with a better outlook then we came in.

It wasn't ideal, and we will do more to prepare the setting next time but a success in its own right.

but yeah, your instinct was right - double dipped is a scam.

most LSD isn't worth more than $10 a hit. without going into "worth depends on who's paying..." i've had some stuff that was worth $20 or at least $15

 

Yeah Real LSD hits, the kind that only takes one or two to give you a very strong, are definately worth 15-20 when it's around. You don't find acid like that very often though.

 

I remember those big hits. A friend of mine gave me one at work once, and I barely noticed it. Looking back, I always wondered if it was someone attempting to put some RC on paper.

(I actually had some medical issues come up soon after taking that stuff....and have always wondered in the back of my mind if it was some crazy RC that didn't sit well with my nervous system. But...I was doing a lot of stuff then, and not sleeping much, so it could have been anything.)

 

Actually, right about the time the 4 way was going around, I got sold some stuff that I'm sure was DOX on blotter paper. It was a strong, bad trip that lasted over 20 hours on one hit. I did it as a 5:00 am wake n bake and was still tripping hard at midnight. I had to fake being sober in front of my mom all evening.

 

That sounds like DOx . . .

25 dollar sheets lol . . . maybe in 1832. But in the future.
