when right after you hit the record button, your neighbor decides to start jack hammering their drive way?
Ahaha. I thought you put jacking off at first. Nasty. I don't have neighbors that jackhammer, so I don't have that dilemma.
I can empathise, well not really because I don't "record" so much as I angrily rap into a hairbrush, but still when something happens to ruin my mojo I throw a maaaaaajor hissy fit
what a bastured. You should invest in some sound proofing material you can hang on the wall. Depending on what you get, it can pretty cheap.
Oh god, I know what you mean Pauly. I was trying to get a track layed down in sound engineering today, for this new song I'm working on, and the goddamn kids wouldn't stop with the saw for the new sound booth they're building... At least it's for a good reason tho..
Nah, Paul, I know what's worse. This seems to happen to me all the time. I'll be recording a 4:00 guitar part or something, and right when I get to the end, as I'm letting the last chord ring out, some huge-ass motorcycle will fly up the hill (the street is RIGHT outside my window), or someone will turn off the bath and make a terrible squeak (I live in a kind of old building). So then I'm left trying to decide whether or not to keep the part or do it over. City living isn't cool for recording.
got that straight. i live right next to the muni, which is a light rail that shows up all day. i get lots of rumble when it comes...at night its not to bad. plus room mates kind of kill my recording vibe sometimes i decided to take my kiddy keyboard apart and try to circuit bend it. im getting cosmic sounds out of it
Oh god yes i know exactly what you mean. Especially when it's around 3 in the morning. I often listen to music late to help me relax, but who the hell hammers their wall at 3 in the morning?! It's like is this seriously happening right now?
Nevermind. I watched a YouTube video on circuit bending... pretty wacky. I might have to try that at some point.
its pretty fun, but is extremely unpredictable and can be loud. wear ear plugs if you plan on doing it i've just been using my thumbs to do it. i need alligator clips and need to fool around with soldering certain spots. destorying worthless kids toys into a piece of art
