i'm not exactly sure if this is a new book but i don't know where else i was supposed to put this so... it is one of the most interesting but disturbing books i've ever read. it was written by Morgan Spurlock (the same guy who did Super Size Me. if you've seen this then u can just imagine). the book goes into a lot of detail about the obesity rates in the world, and marketing to get 3 yearl olds to eat junk food and all that stuff. for the fellow vegetarians out there, if you read this, then you have the right to be relieved that you no longer eat meat. and for those of you who do, please read it, especially what they axtually do to the animals so they end up on your burger, or what they feed them (like cats n dogs n roadkill). it'll make u think twice before bying that mince over tofu. trust me.
i know the books about obesity and everything, but honestly, it's a great relief for ppl who dont eat meat when u actually read about what the put in the meat and everything. i was pointing that out more than the obesity stuff.
ive been meaning to find a copy of 'the jungle''... anyways, morgan spurloc is like my mini-hero. i like his series on fx. he's out there like michel moore, but not half as stupid.
The question was because the OP was getting a non intended sub message in the book, a main feature of Jungle, a book on the sordid treatment of workers and Unionizing Packingtown, but it spawned the Pure food and Drug act, the grandaddy of the FDA.
