Hey, I'm going on a family vacation to the DR for Christmas. My mother has been saying that she's been told that it's dangerous enough to not leave the resort, which I think is absolutely ridiculous. What's the point of going there to stay behind a wall, right? Has anyone else been there? Is it really that bad? What is your input?
i have been there and to hati which there on the same island but its just split in half i stayed on the resorts most of the time but i was with like a tour and stuff when i wasnt at the resort the people there are really poor so i would bring lots of money to buy there handmade stuff and to give them if i were you in hati some of the people only make like 200$ a year its really sad
