My dog always flips out when a guitar is around, and James says his dog used to get all mad when he would play. What's this about?

My Angus (pic) barks like no tomorrow when I play my bass...
I guess is the sound, they are too sensitive to noises....

Don't know about dogs, but most cats I've seen tend to like the guitar and music in general. At least when it's played well.

When I first got my guitar, my dog Willow was scared of it. I felt really bad, because she'd huddle in a corner and her eyes would get all big. . .To get her used to it, I started giving her treats for walking up and sniffing it. Once she could do that, I'd put her on a down-stay next to me, play a chord, and toss her a treat. Now Willow doesn't get scared, and I don't feel guilty about playing it around her.

Awesomely random topic though. I looked at the subject and was all WTF?! (in a good way).
