My dog, Pepper, loves to go for a walk. When I say "Pepper, you wanna go for a waaaaaallkkk?" he jumps up and down and whines and runs down the stairs and looks at his leash until I put it on him. He loves it so much.
I think walking him is very important. It's a way for us to bond and it's good for him because he gets out of the house. He really likes it when I take him in the car to somewhere away from the house where I can walk him.

I recently moved out of my parents house and the apartment I live in doesn't allow pets but I still enjoy coming to visit and being able to take Pepper for walks.

Do any of you enjoy taking your dog for a walk?

I don't have a dog... got a rabbit though. She has a little rabbit leash and we can take her walks round the garden with it. She will sit down for a while then shoot off when you aren't paying attention. Then dives under the hedges, especially the prickly ones and won't come out (so we have to pull her out ... bitch :))
    It's all great fun.

I do. My dog Daisy knows the "wanna go for a walk?" line too. She gets all excited and celebrates by jumping up and down and running around the house. She lives to walk! Taking her gives me an excuse to get some walking in for myself too. It makes her really happy when she gets to explore and she runs from one side of the road to the other sniffing everything. I think she walks me actually. :)

Totally. My dog loves going for walks so much she'll near pull me down the street. I actually have to cool her down a bit cause she starts coughing up. I really need to geta harness for her.

I love animals and I hate puting them on leashes. I won't do it anymore. My dog at my mom's house has a pretty big back yard, but it's still not good enough for him. I wish I had a lot of land I could just let him roam around on. He might run away, but that's a risk I'd have to take. I'm pretty sure he'd run away and maybe never come back. One day I'll take him out of there and put it to the test. It's his life, and I will never control the life of another being ever again.

I love walks. It's really very soothing; it helps you sort things out sometimes.

Colin doesn't respond to "wanna go for a walk?" or wanna go to the park? or anything like that. although when i pick up his leash he gets all excited and walks in circles around me -- when he was smaller he used to get so excited when he saw the leash he would tinkle a little on the floor, thank god that stopped. I love going for walks with him -- it makes him very happy. he is just so cute.

When I had my dog Buzz, I would take him for walks 3 times a day, and I swear that my cat Beaker enjoyed them more than Buzz did. Everytime Beaker saw me grab the leash he would run to the door meowing and walk right along side us the entire time. I dont have Buzz anymore, but when I go walking by myself Beaker still comes along:)
