when i first started smoking pot, it had an extreme hypnotic effect on me. at first on days that i smoked, i would fall asleep at 9pm that night at the latest, and sometimes even fall asleep while at friends houses. so i started using pot more and more to fall asleep, and thats what initially led to my increase of use. in the past maybe 6 months or so, i've smoked everyday, usually multiple times a day. but now it has no hypnotic effect on me. i smoke right when i get into my bedroom at like 12 or 1, and then usually have to smoke another 2 times before i fall asleep. is this normal, for pot's hypnotic effect to become weaker as tolerance increases? i've also noticed that my pupils dont get huge anymore.

probably just because your tolerance is so high, that it doesn't affect you as much, hence eliminating the hypnotic effect. i suggest a 1 month break, which you will find well worth it because after abstinence for a month smoking again is just like smoking again for the first time.

Also.. not all weed will make you tired.

Indicas are the ones that make you tired.. give you more of that body stoned feeling.

Sativas on the other hand will give you that high feeling with crazy flows of ideas and such.

just a little something that's good to know.

^ true but the money you can save after taking a break is great if you do decide to go for the lower quality bud for a bit. Plus it builds your tolerance back slower.

All effects are potentially influenced by tolerance. As your tolerance goes up, depending on your body and mind, certain effects and aspects of marijuana will diminish in strength or change qualitatively.

yea, i've found that when my tolerance built up, i get the slower framerate sight even slower (which is awesome), but i seem to have lost the munchies. which i don't mind.

yea for sure especially if you have a stash its hard for me to go one night without being really tempted to get stoned

its like, its there why not smoke it. the OP should smoke the rest of his stash and just not buy any for a while. save up some money then buy some dank shit and get blasted :hat:

but i still get high-i mean i dont trip out like i used to off a few hits but thats cus i do it alot and i havent dropped acid in a while, therefore getting less flashbacks. but i think not falling asleep is a benefit. its kind of embarassing being at a friends house and waking up on their couch at 3 in the afternoon...

i think the tolerance is beneficial in some ways because it eliminates unwanted aspects (sleepiness, dilated pupils, munchies someone else said)
