Does the camera still add ten pounds?

I always assumed it was the curvature of the cathode ray tube. But since displays are generally flat anymore, does it still add ten pounds?

 

Depends on if you are holding it. Moving picture cameras can be quite heavy.

It can depend on a camera and lens. Perspective distortion can do this, for example, 24mm lens on full frame sensor.
