Would there be more understanding in the world if the concept of "countries" or even continents as a way dividing the Earth were no longer recognized?

    Discuss... :D

Nah, people love to categorize things, including people themselves. Without countries it'd just go into my general physical/demographic divides

Why don't you just make this your signature vs typing it in every post?

We need countries because I have different values than southern californians do, and I am okay with that.

I have WAY different values than say, someone in xingua, we do need to change the structures of countries, but we needn't through out the baby with the bathwater.

My ancestry is Scottish and French (via Scandinavia), I was born in England one of the provinces of Britain, which is also called the United Kingdom. It is the home of the Anglican Church a protestant offshoot of the Catholic one but supposedly there are more practising Muslims here than Christians, our royal family is Greco-German and our national dish Chicken Tikka Masala is of Indian origin.
We are part of a European Union that I believe comprises 27 states (I've lived and worked in three but travelled in many others) and has 24 languages, of which the most widely spoken is German, but because of the similarity of language the British often look to some of its old empire rather than to continental Europe, so much so that because of the number of imported cop shows many here know as much (if not more) about the US judicial system than their own, and many children think the emergency number is 911 (in the UK it is 999 Europe wide it is 112).
We are also a member of the United Nations and the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation.

    What am I – a human being.
