Does feminism promote eating disorders in women and girls?

Feminists promote the lie that men’s ideal body type is a tall rail thin model like the type of woman you see in fashion magazines. So girls and women develop BDD and eating disorders to achieve this, “ideal body type,” to appeal to men.

When in reality these fashion magazines aren’t generally created by straight men, but they are generally created by women and gay men. For example Vogue, a magazine that was called, “the most influential fashion magazine in the world by the New York times” is composed of 16 editors. 15 of those sixteen editors are women, including the editor in chief, and who wants to make a bet on the sexual orientation of the lone male editor, I bet he isn’t straight. Want to bet?

If anyone wants to know men’s ideal body type, they shouldn’t look at fashion magazines they should look at porn because men don’t generally look at fashion magazines, but 70% of men do watch porn online once a month. If you were to watch porn you’d discover men like all types. If there is a type of women, there’s a man who likes that type of woman. I mean there are men who like 600 pound women.

If there is an ideal body type at all in porn, it is petite curvy women, and petite curvy women are the exact opposite of the tall rail thin models that appear in fashion magazines.

Why do feminists promote this lie?

I don't think feminism is promoting the body shapes you describe - you may have the wrong term there.I think conversely true feminism would support your argument.I think the fashion industry chooses the kind of models it does is because they are there primarily to show off the clothes. In other words the models are generally not sexy in order not to distract from the spectacle of fashion. Also I certainly think it is true that most heterosexual men prefer curvy women.I see woman every week on the bus or in the supermarket that I find more attractive than most models I see.Models' faces often look strangely empty and anodyne, and that is no accident.

Yeah, are you sure those are feminists that are promoting such a body type as the ideal one for the average woman? I thought that those tall skinny women in fashion magazines were often chosen because of how those bodies show off the clothes, not to promote it as the ideal body type for women because men like it so much.
