Does Cannabis Increase Your Libido?

Oddly, I haven't found any threads on the Love & Sex forums about pot, so I thought I'd start one now and see where it goes...

If it helps your sex drive, what particular strain is your favorite?

Personally, I love the Indica strains like Romulan or OG Kush. Gets me hard as a rock as long as I'm stoned.

 

I'd say probably not, for me anyway. I'm usually quite grounded and non responsive when stoned but at the same time my partner like that docile state of mind to mess around with. I know when you have bary any tolerance the sensations from sex while stoned is unbelievable. I remember the first time I went down on my girl stoned. It felt like hours and everything was so smooth and slippery and awesome.

It can get you in the mood sooner but it doesn't really work like viagra or something and make you stay hard as long as you're stoned

 

it doesn't get you in the mood so much as it lowers ones inhibitions imo.....

 

But booze does that better

I haven't had stoned sex in a long long time, I can't remember when... so, I really couldn't say. But nice thread! As far as strains go I would not recommend anything heavy for sex. I say go with some potent Sativa.

 

Always ruined mine. Wanted to just go into my own mind. It's fun in there. Now acid---WAAAAY different story.


(I don't "have"a partner these days, so--doesn't matter. Still have my mind though--and it's still fun in there.)

i think it mostly just kind of intensifies whatever you're feeling. so if you're feeling horny, it makes you feel really horny.

cannabis - I'm not sure if it does. Actually I don't know what other people imply saying 'libido". I think that cannabis helps removing your tension, being not at ease etc.
Based on my own experience the three things boost my so called 'libido' In fact they make for strong erection and lasting amorous sensation. All the girls become hot and gorgeous all of a sudden. These things are:
1) Coffee - super-black, natural robusta. 2) fresh fruits of a Wild Rose - don't know how you call them, in Russian it is "Шиповник";
'Schipownik' or 'shypovnik'.
It's weird - I couldn't find it's name in English, however hard I tried. Yet here it is:

 

No. When I smoke weed it's right before bed, in a sleeping kind of way, not sex. I like my sex sober or maybe just one or to drinks to relax.

 

Those are called "Rose Hips" they are in an herbal tea called "Red Zinger".
