Yes, I have one as it is cheaper than using a cell all the time. It also came a part of a bundle package with the TV cable and internet, so it was more economical to take the three services.
Yes, I can also remember having no phone at all as a wee child. I like a land line because I can find the phone when I need it each month as it is attached to a wall and hard to loose.
I have a VOIP phone at home = portable, I can take it anywhere for business. Really helpful since cell service is spotty at my place. I think being inside a large building makes it tougher to receive signal. I've noticed this a lot living in Manhattan.
I have a couple cell's and a landline, It came in the 'bundle'. Funny thing though, I don't even know the number to my landline. Kinda pointless, But hooked it up and low and behold, A telemarketer calls with-in minutes.
They have one at my boyfriends house where I am currently living but the only people that seem to know the number are my future employer and my boyfriend's grandma.
My in-laws have one but they both have cell phones (my father-in-law has like 3 different cell phones because of work). Also, my boss has a land line, and this lady I used to work with has a land line and a cell phone for emergencies only. But yeah, all of them are like my parents' age, sooo older than me at least.
