If ants or other common backyard bugs have cannabinoid receptors, and are susceptible to intoxication from THC? If so, I'm going to have some fun this summer
Not sure, but at the community center near my house, there are always shitloads of spiders on the walls, and since I blaze there frequently during warmer weather I blew smoke at them one night and they jolted away.
maybe i'll have to experiment and find out myself. like study the behavior habits of ants, then put some in a jar, blow a hit into it, and re-test and see if their reaction or coordination has changed at all
Absolutely not. THC is a natural pesticide. Insects do not have 'brains' in the same sense that we do. However they start acting when you blow the smoke on them, it's not from THC binding to cannabinoid receptors.
damnit. you just ruined my whole summer! ha not really. i still may try it though, just for shits and giggles
Holy shit are you serious? So does that mean i can go around killing ants and shit from exhaling smoke on them? I'm gonna go test this.
It probably doesn't work on ANTS. They don't eat weed. Whatever would've naturally preyed on the cannabis plant would have been affected (but since the government made a fucking plant illegal it's no longer part of the food chain).
Have any of you ever read a can of Raid? One of the main ingredients is Nicotine, it's one of the best nerve toxins on the market.
Tried it on an ant in my bathroom, wish I could have used a bong hit lol, but it broke a few days ago. It just seemed to piss the ant off and it ran away.
you know you can "freeze" ants and bring them back to life? I have experimented with this in two ways. The first was with a 7-11 slurpee. I sat near an ant hill and dumped copious amounts of slurpee on them, let it sit for a minute or two and moved enough away that I could see the ants. They appeared to be dead, but after being in the warmth for minute they began to move again. Second time was at a friends house in the winter...found an ant inside, so to fuck with him I set him out on the deck in the snow until he stopped moving. Brought him back in, and he started moving again.
I can imagine a situation in a stoner film where they decide to hotbox an ant hill, and the next day wake up to find all the trees in the yard have had their leaves eaten off
haha.. me and my buddies would take flies or bees and put them in the freezer and then tie string around them.. and you have a pet fly/bee
