Sounds like a good time, I have to drive to Colorado if I want to climb anything. It is flat here.

Hope nobody thinks i'm bringin up an old post...
I climb a lot, mostly at RRG (red river gorge, in KY) and new river. I climb competetively also (I'm the only drug user in the entire division, and have a habit of toking on the group trips). Hardest i've tradclimbed (you set your own gear) is 5.9, sport 5.12a, toprope 5.12b. Hardest i've soloed (no belayer, no rope) is 5.8. It was about 40 feet tall, another guy there did one of similiar height, but 5.10. If any of you are around columbus, pm/email/im me.

    EDIT: I boulder v7/v8

I used to climb a lot in highschool. Just about every Sunday a group of us would all meet after all of our various church services were over and head to the nearest rock face, whether it was a stone quarry or a natural face and climb until dark. We did that straight for about 3 years. Sometimes we would even climb when there was snow and ice on some of the faces.

I absolutely loved the natural high that I got after finally making it to the top of a face that I had been on for nearly a half hour or longer (no hangdogging either). I was invited to start climbing competetively but I never did. As far as I can remember, the most difficult climb that was rated that I completed was a 5.10c. We aften climbed at Coopers Rock in West Virginia.

I would love to get back into it but it would take a lot of re-conditioning on my part.

I love rock climing. I often climb at Seneca Rocks in wv. The hardest trad lead I ever did was about 5.8, but most often I lead 5.5 and 5.6.
