no, but i could if I wanted. glacoma runs rampant in my family, i think about 5 members of my immidate family have gotten it, so my dr always pays special attention to my eyes. all i would have to do is go to cali, tell them about how my family has alot of glacoma, say my eyes hurt, ask for marijuana, and i'll get a card. easy as that. you could also use insomnia, add, adhd, chronic pain, frequent nausea, or extreme loss of appetite. in cali they prescribe it for alot of things. but don't think it's still completely legal, raids happen all the time. it's bullshit

I have a card in Oregon. I have osteoarthritis and am allergic to many pain meds. Cannabis allows me to cope.

Let me ask a question. If you have medical marijuana card can you get piss tested at work and pass since you have a perscription?

In Oregon, the card does not provide any immunity from employer testing:

    One more thing:

No doctor in the US can prescribe cannabis. Prescribing it would be a violation of federal law and can result in the doctor being stripped of his ability to write any prescriptions at all.

    They can only recommend it.

The Kush variety especially the Baba kind does the trick for me .A small puf in the morning after I had my coffee and sweet munchie(usually a dry toast with strawberry jam on top)seems to do the trick.I'm soon to be 61 and had sore joints all my life mostly do to very active and creative life style. The last straw happend after a very bad car crash six years ago.The morphine did not do what it was suppose to do and after a sleepless night at the hospital I went home the next day thankfully passing out on my lazyboy after couple of pufs on a small pipe using some old left overs.I discoverd the positive influance of Babakush only a year ago and from that time on I always keep some Babakush around.
I hope my little tale is of help for those who suffer from swollen joints.
    Sincerly Miklosh.

i just moved to san diego and am about to start the process to get the permit. when i was little i got hit in the eye in a fight and part of my iris is torn off the cornia and there is no way for it to be fixed, so i have to cope with bad vision in my right eye as well as constant pain because theres a build up of fluid, that doesnt drain the way it is supposed to.

do i just go to a doctor and show them my medical records and have them do an examination? and they recommend it or say no? i tryed reading the law on it but it confused the hell out of me.

I've had ollier's disease w/ marfucci syndrome with a malignant transformation rate since 1984. If I had listened to every dire prediction I know I wouldn't be here. After over 50 surjuries, 8 rounds of chemo, radiation, and every other painful test, I am alive. Sometimes I feel like I have no one to talk to because my diseases is burden enough on my family and I honestly don't know another person with AAMED. Pot has gotten me off a full time morphine pump, but I can honestly say I'm still in pain. I'm skinny, and half the person I was ten years ago. Anyone else relate?

I live in oregon and have had my medicinal maryj. card for 3 years now. My grower and I have a great relationship and I use 2 oz.s a month for my fibromyalgia and chronic pain and anxiety. I swear by it and since it is impossible to get any other form of pain medicine, I have no choice.

I have a Med card for IBS. Haze strains work best for the pain, and I preffer purps to go to sleep to at night. Certain strains actually upset my stomache more so the diff varieties definately have differrent medicinal values.

i have a prescription to help me recover from my eating disorder and the surrounding issues - depression, anxiety, bad body image, loss of appetite, nausea, puking (my stomach and esophagus are very damaged and basically retrained to bring food back up rather than keep it down so i have a very difficult time eating. smoking helps relax this reflex.)

just an interesting fact for those who are wondering: i am under eighteen and was able to get a card but only with parental consent, and my mom has to come with me when i go to the club.

i don't know if it's like that everywhere. i guess it probably is but i'd be curious to find out.

I have a "Calif Physician Recommendation for Therapeutic Cannabis". I had cancer 7 years ago and pretty much all you have to say is "cancer" and prove it with medical records. I developed high blood pressure with my first chemo treatment and have been on meds since then. But MJ really lowers my blood pressure and my physician now has me keeping track of my BP before and after I smoke. I can truthfully say that it does indeed lower my blood pressure enough that I don't have to take other meds on most days. I've been smokin' since the 60's and I smoke every single day of the year. In fact, I haven't been with out smoke in years. Hardcore smoker I am. My daughter, who is over 30, likes to say at parties, $50 my mom can smoke anyone under the table. She doesn't smoke pot.
