You're not alone...I find that if I smoke every day, or right before I go to sleep, then my dreams are less vivid, or I don't remember them at all.
    How often do you smoke?

The more I smoke the crazier and more realistic my dreams get. Last night I smoked a lot and then came home and went to sleep, and I dreamed I was on my computer looking at pictures of me and my friends when we were 12, when the pictures dont even exist, but I can still see them, and I saw all these text documents I had on here that doesnt exist and it was so real.

The night before last I smoked a lot and went to bed and dreamed the people I was smoking with was staying the night and like I woke up and I was looking for them.

Yeah, I experience the same thing, I never dream when I go to bed stoned. However, when I find that for the next few days my dreams become quite intense.

I never dream when I smoke. When I don't smoke I have all kinds of dreams about trying to get high or not getting busted

its what happens ,something to do with the receptors being blocked...its not permanent, just stop for a while...2 3 weeks usually does it, but the fabby doodle bit is your dreams are so vivid and and surreal because your brains been deprived of that kind of sleep so it goes overboard....ive had magical adventure dreams that led me out to stowing away in a boat in a book (as in,hiding within the actual story book by means of magic) it was crazy...i was looking out from the top deck of this huge paper boat at a vast paper moonlit horizon...i can still see it now......

    happy dreaming pookiebum!:p

I am also the same. I do not barley ever dream when I am smoking (Which I smoke everyday). But when I quit smoking for a month I had so many crazy dreams it was unreal!!!! But fuck it, I like my smoke too much to stop for some dreams. :)

The more you smoke the less vivid or memorable your dreams will be. There are certain chemicals your brain releases during REM sleep like anandamides to induce dreaming. When you toke these chemicals are released while you are high, so by the time you go to sleep you are depleted and thus no crazy dreams. When you stop smoking for a couple days your anandamide levels can build back up again, and your sensitivity is also increased so you dream like a madman.

Unless you can find a source for that, im gonna call false rumour.

do you know that every night, you dream many times a night? even if you cant remember your dreams, it doesnt mean you dont have them.

    you always have them

but i think theres an element of truth in what your saying.

except anandamide is not a 'dream chemical' like DMT. it is constantly used every day in normal thought process.

I wonder if there have been any studies done, monitoring REM sleep on subjects after they've smoked and passed out. Any future psychologists or dream researchers out there, here's a cool study for you.

I don't know if pot affects my dreams or not. I don't think so. When I first started doing mushrooms and acid I had crazy dreams for about a week after I dosed, but that doesn't happen anymore.
