as a Christian, believe you already have a spirit that will rise from the dead? Or do you, as a Christian, believe you only become a spirit, in a return to life, at some time or point after death? Keep in mind that the definition to resurrection means: 1. The act of rising from the dead or returning to life. Next question: Do you, as a Christian, believe that that spirit of you will be reborn or placed or turned into another body that's of flesh? Last question: The kingdom of heaven, is it the kingdom of the Son of man? Yes or no?
Not exactly returning to life with our physical bodies, but with our spiritual bodies. Those who have already passed, and those of us yet to pass will return to earth to reign with Christ. When Jesus Christ returns to earth, his kingdom will be established and we shall reign with him. However, during the rapture, we will undergo the transfiguration from our physical bodies to spiritual bodies. (1 Corinthians 15:35-54) Heaven is the Kingdom of Christ, but he will also establish a kingdom here on earth to reign after the tribulation. (2 Peter 3:13, Revelation 21:11)
