I used to be in love with mobile phones until one time i was using one and the noise it made was so loud in my ear it gave me permanent hearing damage. I still use them but yeah they give me headache...i dont trust microwaves...but i dont have a gripe with ovens:)

microwaves are not a healthy option from a health point of view. Also it is very dangerous to attempt to repair or open microwave due to microwaves(No pun intended)

Regarding mobile phones being a danger to health, it is simply not true. It is a myth and perhaps derived from some truth but based on early models in the 80's.

Dunno about phones, only just got one and I don't really know how it works (it's old skool).

Personally don't trust the ovens, never had one though. Tried food from them before but nothing ever tastes good. Even if there was one in my house I'd rather not use it, too much like witchcraft for me...

there is no reason to mistrust your microwave oven - a guy in the science forum reckons you can test how effective the oven is by unplugging it, then putting your mobile phone inside it and close the door - now from your landline phone the mobile, and you probably not be able to dial through to it. dont switch the oven on obviously or you'll melt the phone !

I just tested this and my phone rings

Well don't mobile phones operate on a shorter frequency than microwave ovens? All the microwave's shielding needs to do is block the larger waves - the mesh you see on the front window has large enough gaps to see through but is still enough to stop the large waves from getting through.

suspend a lens from a telescope or a pair of spectacles (must be glass, dont use plastic !!!) in the microwave oven, fix to the bottom of a bowl maybe

now at the edge of the glass plate clip some black paper which on the back should have a smartie glued to it

switch the oven on full power for 3 minutes

    now open the door

(If it goes wrong dont blame me)

Not to sure they do concern me to be honest, with maybe a small rider about young brains and exposure to any withchery is probably best avoided.

small microwaves are safer than huge industrial ones. Somehow I doubt microwaves will take over the entire human race and any experiments should be illegal. I remember someone managed to drill a hole large enough for their hand and wrist. They slotted the hole with rubber so no leakage of microwave. They slid their hand in and put the time for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, their hand blew up. The blood had simply boiled to a thick syrup and the skin was as burnt as yesterday mornings toast sensation.

    Don't try this at home.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so if mobile phones have a low micro frequency .......what about using a phone over a lengh of time like five years for example ........would"nt that be a lot of microves attacking the ear area and resulting in tumours etc etc ?
