The dance music of the 90's was a whole lot better than the 70's. I used to go to discos and enjoy it in the 70's. Later on the rave scene blew it out the water.

It doesn't need a revival. As pointed out by some disco still lives through in a lot of other genres. Mainly in hiphop and a lot of pop/dance. It's far from gone really

 

I love love love this one...

 

I doubt there will ever be a revival....but I think there will be flashback celebrations of it. I like some disco...it gets me dancing and moving and I like to dance. Love the Bee Gees....KC and the Sunshine Band, Donna Summer, Queen of disco.......Romeo and Juliet by Alec R. Costandinos......full album here on both sides of the story of Romeo and Juliet in disco fashion....great music! i have played this before on the forum...Grace Jones.....and many others.....

I basically like a well rounded diet of so many different kinds of music.....and not a steady diet of any one kind of music. I like all music with a good melody and sound....I am more big on sound of a song than words, really.......there are a few types I don't care for all that much....like rap.....or heavy heavy metal and I do not care for all country stuff.... .....but I like most things, and of course there are better things than other things in all music types...different strokes for different folks.

I have to add one of my favorite remakes of a song...IMO, Donna really gave this song life, and i was always moved by this particular performance of it by her., and never tire of seeing it or listening to it.

The one that sings the lead in this song, with the funky receeding afro.

Strange his death didnt seem to get that much attention, they sold 100 million albums and were one of Obamas favourites
