i think this is happening. it's becoming harder and harder to own a gun in canada, and there are constantly articles in the local paper about turning in guns. even if we want to revolt against this, we wont have any weapons to be able to do it. canada is going to lose her sovereinty (sp!). :( no offence to my friends to the south, but i just dont ever want to be an american.

I hate to break it to you, but Canada is part of America. Not the United States of America, but you are still American...

Besides, who says that we want you? I don't want your old-growth clearcutting ways a part of my country. So there!

You got a bunch of frenchies up there in quebec anyhow. I'm sure the US will never make quebec a state.

Well, since you apparently feel that that is all there is to the US, then I would rather go to a pointless war then be part of canada.

Well that is exactly what you did.... so all is good :)

Canada become part of the USA.... it could happen eventually i s'pose... if their economies ever become on equal par with each other..... for the forseeable future tho' both countries are far more comfortable (not to mention profitable) trading with each other. Canada doens't have a hope in hell of matching the US economy, and US corporations (especially the power companies) really don't want to have compete with the canadian corporations for sales if they combined under the same laws.

Canada will eventually merge, maybe not in our lifetimes though.

Canada has always had a questionable economy, and I think that will drive it, plus America has a vicious brutal economy that eats everything in its path.

I don't see this happening at all. The majority of Canadians either want very little or nothing to do with the US at all.
The only province I can see ever becoming apart or wanting to become apart of the US, would be Alberta.

It was your post that declared 2010 was the year it was gonna happen. I think it eventually will but I don't think our opinions/mindsets are in the right space for that to happen

Whether it'll be beneficial or detrimental when it happens (again, a few decades away at least, barring a big ol war), I don't know. It really depends on the economies, societies and politics involved, not to mention the state of the rest of the world

You're getting your chance right now. But really, if you feel that way, get the fuck out of the Canadian forums.

But lets be realistic here: Manifest Destiny is long dead.

And while there is a trend towards economic-intergration along continental lines (specifically Europe, N. America, and the Pacific Rim of Asia), the idea of annexation is just the remnants of cold war fear-mongering. That doesn't happen along first world countries anymore. What is possible (perhaps even likely) is some kind of deep integration (economic/monetary union) - which probably won't be to our advantage, but we still keep our sovereignty.

Post-clarity act, it is fairly difficult for a province on its own to secede, so the likelyhood of any individual province leaving is also low.

First of all, Canada is NOT going to become a part of the US because the ultimate goal is the destruction of the US as well under this Pan-American Union. Under the New World Order, there will be no such thing as nations, at least not as we know it now. Please understand this. In order for the New World Order to be fully brought about, the US, too, will have to be destroyed.

The Pan-American Union is every bit as UN-American as it is UN-Canadian, because the citizens of neither country will benefit from a loss of its sovereignty. Don't you see that YOUR government is every bit a complicit as ours, and, like ours, your leaders have all been bought and paid for by the corporate/globalist interests they're working for?

But, to answer your question, what you speak of IS coming, and we will likely see it within the next 5-10 years. This has been in the plans for years and years. It's nothing new.

Under a totalitarian world government, it doesn't matter what the people want. The emerging POLICE STATE we are seeing in the US, Canada, Europe and Australia is for a reason, you know. They know people aren't going to like what's coming, so they're preparing.

All you people who don't think this is going to happen in your lifetime are in for a RUDE AWAKENING! You haven't a clue what the masters at the top have planned for this world because their controlled media has intentionally left you in the dark, filling your head instead with hockey and sitcoms. We are talking the next five years here, people. It's time some of you wake up to what's going down, because it's going down now and it's going down FAST!

"It'll never happen in our lifetime." HOW NAIVE! This is the same mentality the good Germans of Hitler's Germany had prior to the reich. Many of you DON'T know what's possible because you DON'T have the facts. Get the facts, THEN come to a conclusion. Don't come to a conclusion based on what little you know about something, which is indeed very little.

I'm not sure if it will happen (At least in Quebec, we're fighters and would probably try to remain free), but if it does, I'm getting the hell out of here, bring my whole family in France and ask for a refugee status.

I'm not at all for violence, but I wouldn't mind fighting americans for my freedom.

But why would you want to fight the Americans, who, at the citizen level, are against it just as much as the Canadians? It is the government (rather the people running the government at the highest levels) who are pushing for this. Not just in the US government, but the Canadian government as well. Like I said before, Americans will be victims of this, too. If anything, it's up to the Canadians and Americans alike to bond together to fight this from happening.

When Canada merges with the US, it won't be by force because YOUR leaders too are working for the same corporate and globalist interests as ours. Don't kid yourself into believing this will be some American takeover, because that's not what it will be. It will be a GLOBALIST takeover!

But, they'll probably be so secret and stealthy about it that most people won't know until it's all said and done. The US has already merged databases with Canada, so they're really already halfway there.

You don't need to fight Americans for your freedom when it's the government you need to fear more than anything. The same people who control America at the highest levels control Canada and most of the world, though they do everything to make you think that's not true.
