Better to buy Christmas presents or make them?
And would you be happier to receive a hand made present or a really expensive bought one?

Haha, if I had any money I'd donate a small bit of it to you :)
It's just I'm completely skint and I've made my friends presents (which took me ages) but I'm worried that they'll hate them

    aww ... i'm sure they'll love them. :)

i made my friends gifts when i was about your age. i didn't know what to get them so i bought these HUGE massive cookie cutters of bears, and made them each a big homemade sugar cookie with frosting on it, all decorated special for them. (each cookie was about 12 inches tall). it was loads of fun, and they all loved them.

this year, i'm doing a few handmade gifts for people as well. i've nearly finished a jumper for my mother-in-law, and am making a few hemp necklaces and hemp keychains for a few mates of mine as i didn't have money to buy them gifts.

i'm going to make my sister a late christmas gift and do her some bear slippers similar to my bunny slippers i made. :)

I'm sure a lovingly hand crafted present is far more special than something nabbed off the shelf at Tesco!:) Hello and welcome to the forums by the way:)

highflyingbird - sorry i forgot to welcome you too  memory slips up in my old age. :D

your trinket boxes sound really sweet. a friend of mine once made me a lovely decoupage box and i always kept my jewellery in it, until we had a big falling out and i gave it to charity.

if you have a camera post some pics up. :) i'm sure they are so cute and your friends will love them.
