Upon entering your home, do you remove your shoes? I grew up always having to remove my shoes. My husband thinks it's something only Asians do. Clearly, I'm not Asian. I am obsessive about keeping my floors clean, even more so now that my baby is a crawler. I do, however, have almost exclusively hardwood floors. They get terribly cold, so I wear house slippers. So, do you take your shoes off or leave them on?
yeah, my feet like to breathe. my last couple apartments had white carpet, so there was an extra incentive to take them off immediately so i didn't have to do constant carpet cleaning.
I always take my shoes off. In my home and others. I would feel so rude if I walked through someones house with my shoes on.
i have a outside matt to rub off dirt, and a inside one as well...plus i live alone with just my dog..so its the dog that is the problem...cause i open the door and she runs inside full of energy wanting food..
Instantly. It's so rewarding to kick them off as soon as I get in the door. It's like a signal that you're home and can finally relax now. I always ask others when I visit or hang out in their homes do they want shoes off at the door or not. Some mind, some don't, either way's cool by me.
I do not know a single person here where I live who would think it's rude if I don't take my shoes of in their home.
Yeah it's cultural, when I am in Asia I usually take them off as well when entering someones home. Here in Holland most people would look at me weird if I would take them off.
nah, i almost always wear big work boots and getting them on and off is too much of a ball ache. when i've got trainers oni take 'em off sometimes.
I do. I can't find myself comfortable if I'm home wearing shoes. I also don't like wearing clothes I'm going out in and as soon as I get home I dress into something more comfortable.
i'll almost always immediately take off my shoes/boots and my socks. unless i need need to piss really badly.
