Do you support Palestine or Israel?

Please explain why you support either Israel or Palestine.

Wow, I can see this thread quickly becoming a flame war.

I hope it doesn't.

I'll give my opinion anyways...


I support Palestine, because I don't see any justification in taking over 100 Palestinian lives for every one Israeli.

 

I support Palestine cause they have good pizza.. :d

 

Palestine. Why? Well because they're the oppressed. They don't have a homeland, because the Israeli's won't let them. They've build the wall on Palestinian land. They build settlements on Palestinian land. I agree with Jimmy Carter, it's a system of apartheid.

 

I support both. Two state solution.

 

You know, it can be extremely uncomfortable to straddle the fence...

I don't take sides. I follow the truth. And the truth is right now Israel is manipulating the situation for poliitical reasons.

I say stop all Israeli aid from the US, and let Israeli wage their own wars.

 

Rather strange don't you think that those firing the rockets are Fatah, but it's Hamas and Gaza that is getting slammed in the press and with Israeli arms.

Could have been a great point gardener, except of course you got all the facts wrong.

The press is saying that the latest rockets are not being fired by Hamas, and they are backing it up with quotes from Israeli officials. Some coverup.

These recent rockets however have nothing to do with the thousands of rockets Hamas fired at Israel before the latest ceasefire.

 

Then why aren't the Israelis retaliating against the West Bank, why fire on Gaza? Hamas is brokering a truce, while Fatah is stirring the pot with US and Israeli acceptance.

 

I support anyone who wants to live in peace and harmony. I DON'T support people who want to "kill them all"...

I agree.

The sad reality is, unfortunately, that both sides nurture the "kill them all" viewpoint. All we need is for the Palestinians to he agold of a couple dozen bikes and we have mutually assured destruction.


It worked in the Cold War, why couldn't it work now?

 

I can't take "sides". Because not ALL Israelis are pathological murderers and not all Palistinians are suicidal either.

I totally support those who do not support the wars.
