...At stop signs? I mean a complete STOP! I always make a complete stop at every stop sign no matter where it is. It doesn't matter if it's in the city or this one here: I even have an old cast iron one on my patio and I stop completely every time I pass it. Usually to take a nap. What an idiot you're probably thinking. But here's my reasoning. I'm training myself. Forming a good habit. That way when I'm daydreaming, which I seem to do more and more lately; my subconscious can take over and I automatically stop at every stop sign even though I may not even see it..consciously. That means less work for my "thinking" brain and then I can devote that part to wondering about the price of rice in China. Eventually, if I do it right, I won't have to even think about driving at all. My subconscious will take over and I can just watch the scenery. That means I won't have to shell out for a new self driving car as I'll already have one...subconsciously. I also always use my turn signals for the same reason, but they don't always turn off by themselves.
if its an area i know well i tend to look around and not stop unless there is traffic signs are just recommendations in low traffic areas....but you always have to watch for those idiots that are daydreaming and pretending theyre in a self driving car
So how much is the price of rice in China anyways? I stop at all of them except the one in my mom's neighborhood, I california roll the shit out of that one. Bad habit left over from when I was a teenager
I do make a full stop but I am always concerned that the person behind me won't and will crash into me.
For me it depends on the intersection. If I’m making a right turn, or there’s no one else around I’ll do a California stop. I’ve always wondered how California stop got its name. Must’ve been an eastern tourist who was appalled by California drivers lol
there is one stop sign on this island that I don't eve slow down....fly through that fucker at 80k In the city is different.....I follow road rules because I have drugs in my pocket since 1975
One time we were motoring through Jackson Hole, Wyoming in our minivan, my wife was driving and I was sitting in the back with one of the kids. Right about at the center of town they have this big old arch of dead animal antlers from all the wildlife various people have killed over the years...I assume. So my wife is gawking at this thing as she's driving and she flies right through a stop sign. And I mean files, the van bottomed out when it hit the other side of the street with a thunk! Of course there's a Jackson Hole cop sitting there waiting for someone to do this this and he pulls her over, walks up and says, "What's the stop signs look like in Pencilvaineeea?" I would'a been in the old Jackson Hole jail house, locked up and forgotten like an insolent tenderfoot Philadelphia lawyer. But she talked her way out of it. Then she got lost and had to drive past him again.
Love that song ^^^^ awluz have done ! as far as stop signs yeah usually , they are better than traffic lights
i didn't always of course, when i had a car, many years ago now. but i always made damd sure there was nothing else coming from any direction that might run into me before proceeding. (and yes, i would drive, if i could afford a car and still be able to afford anything else that interests me at the same time, but i damd sure wouldn't be living in anything even close to a city if i had one)
Yes.. It also appears that the stop and go at a red light is really a thing here now .. <only when traffic conditions permit. Im a little pissed at the no left turn on red on the west end bridge.. Ill continue to challenge til I get caught/and challenge it again.
complete stop if a cop is visible or if i'm at a 4 way stop and arrival order determines right of way. rolling stop otherwise. blow through the one at the end of my street, because my street is really just a driveway with a name, and there's never traffic on the next street either.
