my favourite is toasted bread with slices of tomato and fresh ground black pepper...sometimes i add bacon gotta eat them quick though...they arent as good when the toast loses its crunch
Celery cheese and mayo! Brown bread! Fresh and crisp! I use all the bits of cheese that get left. Grate it. Fine dice the celery..bind with mayo! Best butty ever! (Scouse sandwich)
yup, though i make soup (or microwave some combination of things from my very tiny freezer) more often then i have breads of any kind in the house. often it is one slice of bread folded over instead of two, though as often the bread might be a crusant or 'dinner roll', a nan, a pita, or some other form. (even a hot dog or hamburger bun, when they're on super reduce for quick sale, like 99cents for the standard pack) i'm not entirely compulsive about it, but i prefer not buying the same thing twice in a row. my gallon of 2% is pretty much the only thing that i do. but back to sangwedgies when i do. just a slab of meat, or even just some salad greens and some kind of dressing (both of course when i'm feeling more creative). basically its something for when i don't feel like actually sticking something in the micro-wave for 321 seconds, and my stomic isn't looking for sweat crap either. (pb or j, i have in the house even less often then bread, though i sometimes like them for desert, along with a nice hot or cold mocha)
I make mine with home-cooked seasoned steak lightly fried, fresh deli cheese, day's bread, thin fresh tomato slices, topped with mustard, ketchup, and some mayo. when it's ready it's nice and hot. also some beer to help it all go down. none of that "light" crap either.
All so many likable comments.. yes the park, you can make a sammich in the park. I often love taking a walk with some lunch meat and breads .. PB&J always filling. I get much lunch meats from work. They get salami and other loafs of meats nobody wants to cut it.. turkey and chicken loaf will not last more than a couple day past the airlock seal bag. its good if you are a glutton.. I just cant use it all, sad when i see so much food spoil.. I do make sandwiches for the tramps by the river sometimes.. cant always be Jesus Christ. as well timing is everything.. the one camp near my crib can be abandoned overnight and spawning with 4/6 tramps another day... what i can use or give away, goes to catfish, snapping turtles, ducks, raccoons and cats...
i have eaten a turkey sandwich almost every workday for the last...8 years or so. i mean, sometimes i had ham, or just a veggie sandwich...lately i have switched to veggie burgers. i have turkey (or veggie burger), cheese, cucumber, lettuce, maybe tomato, and mustard.
I Make Sammiches From Whatever Is In The Fridge And Pantry.......And Believe Me If I Told You What Some Of Them Contained You Most Likely Wouldn't Believe Me...... Cheers Glen.
Tuna, grilled cheese, BTs (because the L is pointless). when tomatoes are in season i like tomato and mayo sammiches I'm not a fan of deli meat stuck between 2 pieces of bread,so boring.. if i'm going to use deli meat I go all out and make sub sandwiches with a ton of veggies, oil and vinegar, seasoning
i basically never eat at home. or, if i do, it's food that i brought home from elsewhere. but i do occasionally end up throwing together a couple sandwiches from this stuff: it's honestly not really that good, but it's easy and it stores in the cupboard for a long time until i actually need it. the best sandwiches i ever made were when i worked at pizza hut. of course, they weren't on the menu, but you could make some great sandwiches with the shit they had available there.
That stuff looks kind of horrifying.,,, there is even a devil on the side for some reason. Like he's there to warn you of hellish heartburn. Or like this "chicken spread" came straight from hell.
